Thank you.

In my opinion you should provide all information that is applicable. If you have strong family or social links in the UK then mention it.

In my case none of my family live in the UK therefore I only provided information about links with home country.

Hope this will help.

Hi. Congratulations.

Could you please tell me whether your employer was able to certify all 144 days outside UK or work related absences only?

Also, did you have to use a solicitor to assess your SOC code or did your employer come up a with a code for your letter.

thanks in anticipation.

Hi, I am currently facing a similar issue around assessment of SOC most appropriate to my job spec. I was advised by my Hr to get consultation from PwC legal. If you havent gotten in touch with any solicitors as yet, then you may want to contact PwC Legal. thanks.

Thanks once again DK. Final question hopefully, my job title is Risk Change Manager, and my manager suggested SOC 1150 Financial Manager (as I am a manager in a financial services company) to be put on my letter. In your opinion is this a good match? (there is literally no other code I could see tha...

Thanks DK, my WP was processed in the era pre SOC codes (Oct 2008). So for my employer certificate, SOC chosen by my manager/employer will be sufficient? Do you think selection of the SOC could be challenged by the case worker as I have been told a SOC that fits my job description but not an exact m...

SOC assessment for ILR application

Dear members, would someone be able to clarify whether decision on SOC code applicable for my job should be made by a qualified solicitor (example pwc legal) OR an assessment by my line manager at work would be sufficient. For background, I am a work permit holder and will make an application for IL...
