Re: ILR holder coming back after 1.9 years

Thank you Casa, for your quick reply. The situation you were referring to would have been perfect as she would not have to go through the immigration the second time. There are some personal constraints to that and hence was trying to explore options and wanted to hear any experiences that people mi...

ILR holder coming back after 1.9 years

Dear all, I am sure this question has been asked many times before and I could find a few answers too. But please bear with me as I think I have a slightly different question here. I am a British citizen and my wife is on ILR. Since Sep 2014 we have been living outside the UK for employment purposes...

Hello Babli,
All the information you need regarding collection is here https://www.hcilondon.in/oci.html , except, you only need to send one envelope for a family with just one return SD for the passport return.

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

I am just hoping that "THE SYSTEM" will not reject our photos, especially our 9 month old's. It took half a day to get that photo and the guy charged me an arm and a leg for that silly picture. Just for information sake, for anyone planning to go for OCI submission, starting 9th June, they...

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

I applied on the 25th of April (in person at London). The HCI website says that we should contact them after 5 weeks of application date at the email ID mentioned in the previous post. I did, and got the exact same reply, which is basically a copy-paste. I guess its only reasonable since they will h...

Thanks NO1UKlover. That is surely helpful. I have sent emails to both VFS and HCI but did not get replies.

This forum is way way better than those two put together.

Date on Registration Certificate - Help needed Please

Hello, I have a question regarding the date on the registration certificate for a recent approval of MN1-3(1). Bascially, both my son and I applied at the same time for our British Citizenships. We got our approvals last week and the certificates have been already sent to our city council. I know th...

Sorry Derivaz, I should have been more explicit in my writing. When I said, "I knew it would happen", I meant that eventually my application would have been approved. It was just that the timing of the approval could sometimes mess up your travel plans. Hope you dont have to wait too long.

Derivaz, I see that you applied on the same day as me. But given the working process of HO I would not hold my breath. For me, I knew it would happen, (well, almost sure :)), it was just a matter of time and conveneince when it comes to planning holiday travel and returning Indian passports. I hope ...

First you need to register the child and then once that is approved you can get the british passport. You cannot apply for the passport since the child is not a british citizen yet. (or atleast registered as one.)
