I didnt think Fedex would be of much help. They are just the couriers who take the documents from one place to another.

They probably asked him to fax the details to verify who he is,

all the best

no Computer #? Hmm.. Thats quite strange, I would still advise you to contact the Embassy visa helpline directly (I dont think Fedex will help much), and they will give you an update. I know it must say dont contact for individual applications, but you've waited 11 weeks and no reply, so I dont thin...

Hi Claire! I applied for my spouses settlement visa earlier this year at ISB and I know it takes ages!! Firstly, I think the timescale for a reply is about 14 weeks, which makes it early August before you are supposed get a reply. So I think you should wait at least until then. However, here are a f...

I agree with John though, so seems like theres different advice being given. The Job Centre/local DSS office wont give appointments just for NI numbers for the sake of it. They say just start your job and sometime before next april you'll need your NI number, plently of time

What is your nationality and what is the nationality of your boyfriend?

As a general rule, I dont think the boyfriend would need a residence permit beforehand, as he already has the freedom to travel & work within the EU/EEA

Hi John, Islamabad currently only conducts a very small number of interviews, most of the assessment is done by paperwork only. possibly due to the security situation. In fact, on another refusal form that I have for someone else, it says "To xxxxx You have applied for Entry Clearence to the UK...

Actually, Naseem Ahmed is indeed someone associated with the British Embassy in Islamabad as I have had correspondence from him in the past as well (he has a @fco.gov.uk address too) Plus they would've only got your email address from when you filled in the initial application form and written in yo...

Having been through applying in Islamabad lately, they are taking about 4 months to process settlement visas. So if I had to do it again, I would do the Nikah, get it registered, get the translation and the paperwork ready and submit the visa. The 'traditional' marriage (Rukhsati?) where you formall...

I've found a site at http://www.ind.nl/EN/index.asp which does indeed say that she can get an EEA permit in her passport and come to live with me as a family member. However, now this side of things is ok, back to the ILR/naturalisation issue :p say if she comes to the UK, and after a short period o...
