Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi everyone, I received my ILR on Saturday 1st feb but still haven't received my BRP - I'm quite worried. I know it states in the approval letter to wait for 10 days but most people receive same day or next day max. What's the longest duration someone has encountered from ILR delivery to BRP delive...

I have applied in may and still havent heard anything from HO.
You should have called them in November. I'd ring them straight away and ask them why it is taking over 6 months. Get contact with your local MP and request him to push the HO on your behalf.

HO changed the system in October so everyones biometrics from the end of September onwards got delays and took 2-3 months to arrive in the post.

Wow! Congrats to JTF2007 and ppycrmt! Really glad you guys got it.

Just a question.. both of you have said you got the biometric card in the post but no approval letter or passport? Is that correct? Usually the approval letter+passport comes first. Biometric card arrives a week later.

It was more than luck. His employer expedited the case for him and Home Office must have found the grounds reasonable for them to push the application up the queue.

Re: Re-entering uk without transferring ILR stamp from old p

I can confirm having used two passports to go on a holiday a couple of months ago. On entry, just show both the passports stating which one has the visa. For me, the officer immediately returned the new, valid passport and asked a few questions about what I did, why I went out of UK, etc while looki...

Re: Water damaged passport photo page & more issues!

If you take both passports (new and current damaged) one to PEO, I do not see a problem with that. But I'd wait for a guru to answer that as they know much better. You will need to apply for a new passport because UKBA and airlines have very strict rules about travelling on damaged passports, specia...

Re: Water damaged passport photo page & more issues!

You should get a new passport as it can be deemed invalid. I just travelled back in the UK a couple of months ago with two passports, one expired with Visa and one new valid one. It is perfectly fine as long as you keep both the passport with you and present them together to the officer. Where an ap...

The applicant was successful with entering the same number of hours in both the boxes.

Re: Section 5 - SOC Code - Please Help

The figures from SOC Guide tell you what you should be earning as a minimum. You should be earning £20,300 or more if you are newly employed and £28,400 or more if you are experienced level. On the form you should write down your actual salary figures. If you have a "per hour" rate, you en...

People are ringing home office because they are not getting their biometric letter. You usually get it in first 3-5 weeks. It is because of their new system bought in at the end of October. Seems like they have messed up and have a massive backlog of applications that haven't been entered into the s...
