Regarding when you will get the british passport for baby, then how will you send it back to india and how will you got the entry stamp on it? As far as I know you can't send passport out...

Re: MN1 (registration) application processing timelines (onl

Why cant you just apply to the Indian Consulate for a passport ? Why would they refuse to give you one - they dont know you have applied for MN1 naturalisation as well. You can then travel to India on Indian passport and when you want to come back , just come back couple of weeks earlier without the...

Re: British passport for my newborn

Thanks. How long does it typically take to get the certificate ? And once I get the certificate and apply for passport, how long does it take to get the passport ? Is there a premium service to expedite the process as we have plans to travel afterwards.

British passport for my newborn

Hi,

I am on a Tier 1 visa and eligible for ILR from end April 2014. My baby is going to be born in end March 2014. Assuming I get my ILR in early May 2014, can I apply for a British Passport for my baby ? My wife is still on Tier 1 and her ILR becomes due much later in June 2014.

Thanks

Re: ILR for myself and my wife

Yes, she entered UK within 3 months of her visa start date. So when is the earliest date she becomes eligible for ILR ? Also, the fact that she wouldn't be earning any income from Mar 2014 due to child birth change anything ?
