The certificate did not have an expiry date, although there is an advice at the bottom of the certificate that suggests the candidate's ability be re-assessed after two years. In which case my English test certificate has passed the two year period and they didn;t have any problem with that. I read ...

I also received my new Biometric ID in the post just two days after the PEO appointment.

My advice is anyone who wants to apply for ILR to do it through premium service at the PEO rather than thru post. Saves a lot of time and its just convenient that way.

I used the "Test in English for International Students (TEIS)" certificate which I previously used when I applied for the Tier 2 ICT extension in 2010. http://www.teis.org.uk/material/institutes.pdf One of the cheaper and easier ones to pass. You don't actually need to be an international ...

I have booked a PEO appointment on 28th Oct. I only just realised that there's going to be a new requirement of the English language on that particular date. This is not a problem, as I already have a previous English test done. However, what worries me is if my application form that I have filled w...

The form Set (O) for ICT Tier 2 never asked for P60, and never asked for a 12 months bank statement / payslips. What is actually necessary? i know its better to have them prepared but getting a 12 months bank statement is not particularly easy. Also, I have booked for an appointment which will be tw...

As far as I know you can't be outside the UK for more than 180 days in a single year of the 5 years continuous period (every 12 months predating the date of ILR application). As doing so you'll break the continuous period, regardless of that for work purposes or not.

Two full days in a Crown Dependency (Isle of Man) - Premium?

Hi, I have been on a business trip to one of the crown dependencies for two nights (3 days). According to the Home Office website, the ILR premium service is not allowed for anyone who have spent part of their 5-year continuous period time in the crown dependencies. However, I always have this feeli...

This tracker can be made more meaningful if it mentions the category that the applicant is applying the ILR with.

At the moment the tracker list doesnt differentiate whether its Tier 1 or Tier 2 ICT who's applying, hence can give a false perception on people applying for certain categories.
