Re: ILR Long Residence visa problem - pls read!

Be patient. Do not waste money on school fees, and also if your student visa is refused, subsequently home office may see your record and curtail it straight away. You do not want home office to quickly see the notification in their system for processing. My advised, is to wait for the letter for no...

Re: ILR Long Residence visa problem - pls read!

Please first wait for the letter from the Home Office and then count the 60 days from the date of that letter. It may take up to 1 month or more before Home Office write to you. In the meantime, think of your option. Check your post to see if there is any letter regularly and take note of the addre...

Re: ILR Long Residence visa problem - pls read!

Hi Rar, I can give you these tips and hopefully you should be fine. Have you received a letter from Home Office that your visa has been curtailed. The 60 days will start from the day Home Office sent the letter, and so you can not count the days from the time your job was terminated. Do not apply t...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Dear All I have a question regarding my application date. My current visa is valid until 28 August. However I will fill the 10 year period on 23 September. So my visa expires around 27 days (if I am not wrong!) before I am eligible to apply for ILR. My friend has told me that there is a 28 days rul...

Samu140,

I saw your post that you got your ILR. It is a such good news and that withdrawing appeal and applying can yield to success.

Enjoy!

Re: SET LR and withdrwal of appeal time conflict Help

Hi Samu140 Did you receive your own set (LR) as void as well? Did you send your withdrawal by fax? If you send your withdrawal by post, it is going to be the day tribunal received your letter. The tribunal clerks are just making error if you sent it by fax, or it could be that you sent via both ways...

Re: SET LR and withdrwal of appeal time conflict Help

Unlike with the FTT, you have no right to withdraw an application at the Upper Tribunal. Only the Upper Tribunal can exercise the power under Rule 17 to withdraw an appeal, unless it is a permission application. If permission is refused you can simply put in your application, after the time has lap...

Re: SET LR and withdrwal of appeal time conflict Help

Zee, We confirmed that they received the confirmation of withdrawer and it is in their system. The problem was the judge sent decision on 22nd a day after withdrawal. The tribunal sent the letter on 27th, but day of decision was 22nd. I do not think you have to wait for confirmation of withdrawal be...

SET LR and withdrwal of appeal time conflict Help

Hello all, I recently faxed my appeal withdrawal to the tribunal(permission to FTT to allow to go to UT) on 21st of October, which was confirmed that it was received and also was logged into the system the same day. We sent application for ILR on the same day, but today we received decision from tri...

Re: Help Appeal Dismissed

Section 3c only covers the first appeal at first tier tribunal, once your appeal has been dismissed any further appeals to higher courts are not covered by section 3c (My experienced LAWYER told me). You can apply for a 10 year stay ILR; 28 days before you have reached 10 years. Also the immigration...

Re: Short of 5 months 7 days for my 10 years

I think the best advice were given, which is to apply for FLR FP before your visa expire. This will give you right of appeal and you can appeal within 10 days of the appeal. You will be given at least a date beyond your 10 years. Appeal process can take long... You can continue to work while all the...

Thanks Amber. Do you mean I write them around September 25th before my appeal is determined?
