If it's true then this would mean they are considering the Jan applications already.

Re: citizenship & passport

You are not a British Citizen until the ceremony/oath has taken place.

So the answer to your question is 'No' you can not apply for BP until you done your ceremony and received the citizenship certificate.

Re: December 2013 - Naturalization timeline

Agree with TTOE, there is nothing wrong in being hopeful. Indeed 6 months is the wait time, but for 98% of the people here since timeline started it has always been less than 6 months for the approvals. Yes oct did cause a massive backlog but i am sure things are getting back on track again.

HO has gone surprisingly quiet since last week, even on Jan payments. I wonder if they are also gone on a strike just like the underground folks.

Re: National Insurance Contribution

This depends on the reason why you were not paying the NI. If this was in a form of deception then there could surely be consequences, as HO do cross check your details with HM Revenue & Customs.

Hi rs.ind, In my understanding the PBS calculator with 10 points should be suffice. Make sure you take the original degree certificate to the NCS so they can photocopy and attach it to the application. I don't see the need for a Naric certificate in this case, however, i could be wrong so please sen...

Unlikely TTOE, otherwise they would have posted it here.
