Re: 10 years long residence applications

Time to share the good news. My ILR was approved last Friday (14/08/2015) PEO Croydon. All it took was 1hour 10minutes from entering the building to get the approval letter. My case was straight forward (I think!) - 5 years student visa + 2 years PSW + 3 years Tier 2 General. Total 151 days out of t...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi, I have a question to clarify whether the following will be considered as a break in continous residence. All my visa extensions or visa applications were done in the UK, except one. My visa expiry date was 31 January 2010. I went back Sri Lanka on 09th January and made an application for visa re...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Dear all, My PEO appointment is on 14th August. I have couple of questions to clarify before I go for my appointment. Please help me. 1) My appointment is exactly 28 days before I complete 10 years (my arrival date 10//09/2005). Counting backwards from 10th September 2015 (including that date), my a...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Dear all, I'm going for SET(LR) PEO appointment on 14th August. As my case is straight forward (no rejections, all extensions done on time, no of days out of country within the limit, etc), I expect to get my ILR decision on the same day. I will have to apply for my wife's FLR(M) within the next two...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

I have withdrawn my application sent on 1st April, wish to use same day servce. I think it is better to pay £800 extra than to wait for months...nerve wrecking ... But its just not extra £800 for you as £1093 previous fees you will lose! Did you not enquire them if its possible to upgrade to premiu...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

In addition, I just went to double check in the premium service site. I logged on to the appointment booking service and checked - SET (LR) option is threre now for premium appointment booking. That confirms that you can apply for ILR (10yrs) by using the one day service. Hooray!!! Hello all, For an...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

What a good news from HO for a long time - one day service for ILR 10years!!

I'm applying in August. Never mind the extra few hundred pounds - that is nothing compared to the stress caused by waiting for months and months.

Re: 10 years long residence applications

All, We do see a major change in how long it takes the Home Office to process the ILR (10yrs) applications. Appreciably, each application is unique and the straight forward applications are processed quickly and it takes longer for complicated cases. However, what we are seeing in recent time is tha...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

All, Looking at our spreadsheet, I'm seeing a big improvement in the processing time HO takes, as many people are getting their decision in 7-8 weeks these days; 5-6 weeks in some cases. It doesn't appear that they've all expedited their cases. I know each application is unique and the process time ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi, I'm in similar situation. I'll apply for ILR (10yrs) in August 2015. My wife has been in the UK since Feb 2010. I know the fact that her clock will be set to zero when she get her FLR (M) (after I get my ILR). Alternatively, I can wait for another 2 years to apply as Tier 2 (5yrs). In that case,...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

I'll apply for ILR (10 year basis) in few months time. As HO takes 3-4 months to process the application, my current visa (Tier 2 General) will expire within this waiting period. My employer told me they will require some form of document that says I'm eligible to work, in order to continue my job b...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi, I will be eligible to apply for ILR under long term residence (10 years) scheme in few months’ time. I’m aware I can only apply this by post and no dependents can be included with my application. Instead, dependents can apply for FLR(M) to stay with a settled person. As both my children were bor...
