Sent EEA4 - urgently need passport AND new RC

Please help! Sent EEA4 application for non-EU national (married to Italian citizen) on 15th February 2014. Received COA 1st March. Non-EU national applied for Italian citizenship 2 years ago. He has just received his invitation to the Italian embassy to take his oath (the final stage in becoming Ita...

Separated / not divorced - EEA4

Hello again, I'm helping with an EEA4 application. He is an non-EEA national married to an EEA national. They are separated but not divorced, they remain close friends, and she is fully supporting his application. We have paperwork to show continuous 5 year residence at the same address. (Although s...

Re: When did CSI become mandatory for students

Thank you, well she applied in 2007, started the course in 2008 and qualified in 2011 so am I right in thinking she would qualify for exemption?

When did CSI become mandatory for students

Hi I seem to remember seeing on here that CSI only became mandatory for students who enrolled after a certain time. If EU national enrolled in a course January 2008 and graduated April 2011 would that be before the requirement came in? She was also working part-time (earning approx £7k over the year...

Re: Best way to submit lots of documents

Thanks. So would you say there is zero benefit of sending anything relating to non-EEA national apart from 1) Proof of relationship with EEA national 2) Proof of continuous 5 year stay in UK: tenancy agreements and bank statements (1 per year) I know we don't need to thoroughly demonstrate he has be...

Re: Best way to submit lots of documents

Yep, it's complicated because of the various activities she has undertaken. We are erring on the side of caution (hopefully) by submitting more evidence of her different (concurrent) activities than less. The documents we plan to submit are: - Completed EEA4 form - Cover letter - Statement from EEA ...

Re: Best way to submit lots of documents

Thanks guys, there are so many documents already, I fear that plastic folders would just increase to the volume even further. Had a scout around online and I think these little clips will be just the ticket.

Best way to submit lots of documents

Practical question time… I'm finalising a complicated EEA4 application. We've amassed a stack of documents about 10cm thick... I have tab-labelled key documents and included an index. I have also highlighted key information within the documents. Would it be best to send everything off in some kind o...

EEA3/EEA4 - time abroad?

Hi, Just a quick question regarding overseas travel with regard to 'continuously exercising treaty rights' for an EEA4 application. What is the best way to approach the EEA national's absence of about 6 weeks (spent on holiday in Thailand) plus a further absence of around 4 weeks (spent in Italy wit...

The main thing that is bothering me is what proof of continuous stay in UK does the non-EEA national ...

EEA4 - list of documents to submit - please help

Hi, I am preparing an EEA4 application. EEA spouse is not applying for PR. I have some questions... 1) EEA national was working informally as a nanny (cash-in-hand, no paperwork) 2011 onwards - is it better not to mention this seeing as we cannot provide documents? Nannies are generally paid cash an...

We went to see an immigration lawyer this week and explained the current situation. Her advice was OK but some parts struck me as a bit odd, summary below: - He should apply for EEA4 (thus try to collate the missing evidence from his wife's periods of self-employment - basically the last 2 years whe...

Thank you, good to know. He is at the waiting around stage now (application accepted almost 2 years ago) but useful to hear that they are unlikely to hold to their quoted processing time of 2 years.

To update on this situation - we are trying to accumulate enough documents to prove his wife has been exercising treaty rights so he can apply for PR EEA4. Am not convinced we will have enough - but hopefully it is worth a shot. A further question. Almost 2 years ago he applied for Italian citizensh...

Sorry for breaching the forum etiquette by posting in 2 places. Does anyone have any further advice on this situation? As far as I understand it: 1. as it stands he's not likely to get PR because of his wife's incomplete 5 years 2. he would be more likely to get another EEA2 RC but she still needs t...
