Re: Brit Settling in EU

You will always have the right to live in Ireland due to pre-EU arrangements, and obtain Irish and therefore EU citizenship after five years. Trouble is the Irish economy is going to go up the shitter, I was here during the Celtic Tiger and the following crash and I can see it all being set up to ha...

Re: 7 year child route

The 7 year child route is a misnomer. The rule is 'best interests of the child(ren)" and UKVI takes the view children are adaptable.

Not an easy path or get out of jail card I'm afraid...

Re: Spouse Visa Rejected, Stupid reason, Appeal vs Reapply?

Why did u apply under Human Rights and not a straightforward spouse visa? Oh, forgot to comment on this. I did NOT apply under HR, I applied for a spouse visa. HO got it wrong. Also, my application date is wrong. I suspect they may have mixed my application up with someone else's. Looks like you go...

Re: So I bumped into a case worker today

The only problem we had with visas officials etc, was from a migrant themselves, I think they tend to over compensate. She was as thick as pigshit though, really dense.

Re: Am I Eligible for Tier 1 (General) to ILR? - Any other Options ?

Forget T1(E) - you need to be a go-ahead proactive person with drive and ambition and the resolve to carry it through with no hand-folding. To be honest you don't seem to be that type of person. T2(G) you need to drive it youself and keep plugging away, there are no shortcut or tips anyone can help ...

Re: Pregnant fiancée - is a fiancée Visa Classed as 'Settlement' and is she entitled to use the NHS?

The IHS is not charged for fiancee visa, as it is valid for under 6 months. However it is a settlement visa and the person paid a full settlement fee. It is not a marriage visitor visa. A person is therefore entitled to free NHS in my opinion. From UKVI site.. Visitor visas and short-term visas You...

Gardai at Dublin Port

Was stopped twice by the Garda coming off the Holyhead ferry last Friday in a UK reg car, within 300 yards of each other! Was asked for my driving licence but suspect I would have been asked for my passport too had I not been in possession of my naturally superior English accent. Makes foreigners su...
