You can't use UK taxpayer money to fund trips abroad.

Re: Visitor Visa Rejected

Find provable reasons to return and ask for a few weeks not a six months. As it stand it looks like a prime example of effectively living in UK and show a high chance of no return.

any solutions to this problem?
Serve the ban, retake test, reapply for licence and obey the law. My butler tells me both my Bentley's have hand-free mobile connectivity, I'm sure ordinary cars do too.

Re: Irish Citizenship Through Great-Grandfather

Hey mate, thanks for the reply. My grandfather was born on the 24th of August, 1922. Bearing in mind I'm no expert on this - just have an Irish grandfather and Irish family, UK born and bred but living in Ireland for the last year or so. IMHO, prior to 6th December 1922 anyone born in Ireland was a...

Re: Irish Citizenship Through Great-Grandfather

Think you'd need the birthdate of your grandfather, as the Irish Free State (Saorstát Éireann) only existed from 1922 to 1937. If he was born before before 1922 Ireland was part of The United Kingdom and I've no idea how nationality/citizenship applied then.

Re: Marriage Visitor visa to Family Visa?

Marriage visit visa is for those who merely wish to marry in the UK, you cannot switch from it (or any form of visit visa)

You should be looking at the Fiancee visa.

Having been almost stranded at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport in 2002 I always make sure I have a few days leeway and book before end of visa date.

Re: UK Visit Visa for Parents

1. Yes, fine. Visa will be valid from the date of issue. Be careful, if you mention somewhere that your mother-in-law is coming to look after children - her application will be rejected. For some strange reason, UKVI do not like relatives coming on a visitor visa to look after children. Thank you, ...

Re: What tyoe of Visa I should apply to come to the UK?

No need to wait in theory. In practice your overstay will count against you and any applications you make will come under greater scrutiny. In addition, you'll need to be highly skilled for a Tier 2 work permit, and very well off for Tier 4 student visa, and both of these will take time. So if you ...

Re: *** SOMEONE TRYING TO USE MY DAUGHTER FOR VISA ***

Don't worry nothing can happen until they've met, these people are leeches, I've seen so many of them looking for visa-mules and a lot seem to be North African, preying on Western older ladies on holiday.

UK immigration rules don't support chain migration, presumably they already claimed asylum in the first safe country, so there aren't any options really, realistic ones anyway.
