Re: Income requirements

Also if she falls just shy of that mark £18,600 can we use saving if so how much do we need? I've got a few buck from a house we sold. The formula is weird, the first 16k of any savings is discounted, and the multpilcation factor on any short fall is x 2.5, so say you are 2k short, you'd need to ha...

What you plan isn't easy and neither is it an easy way to import all and sundry....

Denmark is very expensive and property hard to find, you need a job very quickly you won't be entitled to benefits until after some while - it was a year for me if I'd have not been able to work.

Re: Sign my petition.

The high costs arose when people started abusing the rules, not that long ago it was all free. I think geniune refugee case etc should all be free (as they are) but 60 year old blokes importing their 22 yo Thai bride should be made to pay for the mess left when it inevitavly goes tits-up, and not fr...

I know that.. What I am saying is that there was an error in whatever they checked. The document was written and signed by an elected councillor. It is public information that this person is an employed by the council, it is listed on the local council website. How the HO can then say he is not an ...

Re: Properties for rent and Life in Ireland

There is also the issue of adaptation, people who had previously lived in big and busy cities tends to find it very difficult to adapt to life in a quiet sparsely populated area. I personally don't have problem with either, but have people i know, who find such change quite difficult. I've lived in...

Re: Properties for rent and Life in Ireland

I think it is enough to avoid large cities and you can find accommodation at much better prices. But not the work to pay the lower prices! There is a lot of work outside Dublin, it is more difficult to find but once you get it you would be rewarded with much better housing situation. Not much in my...

Re: Non-EU unmarried partner in The Netherlands

Does Serbia allow de facto relationship based on such a short period?

I'm afraid there is no easy fix for that are seen as transient relationships - some tangable level of commitment needs to be shown in lieu of a formal arrangement and there is none here.

Re: ILR Refused Base on Tax Amendment- October 16th 2017

Did you amend your tax because you artificially raised it to get the T1G extension then lowered so as not to pay the tax?

Have to ask, it's the most common scenario in these refusals.

I've been in Dublin on and off since 2011 or so, first time here I had to live in Bewleys Hotel in Leopardstown, I literally couldn't find anything. After about 5 months I found a room in a house in Sandyford village, €790 a month, and they guy had the heating on 5c - I'm not kidding. I froze my chu...

just to clarify Casa and Obie.... you have both stated that the visa fee per person (not the NHS fee) is £993....from what I've read its £1464...are you sure its £993 ?

I think you meant ( 993+500) X 2.=£2986 Thanks Obie. Maths has never been my strong point. That's only simple arithmetic not polynomial calculus.... Re: Visa Fees for child

I do not agree with Wanderer that OP will need to pay £600 for IHS, as the visa issued is 6 months, OP should not in practice pay an NHS surcharge. I wasn't sure - hence I said 'I think'. But it did make me wonder what visa the child would have - can't be a fiance visa and can't be a dependant visa...
