Re: Onward journey with Indian PP, Return with British PP

The best option (for immediate travel to India) is to get e-tourist visa to travel to India if your trip is less than 30 days. The procedure is very simple as you've to apply on-line and the visa will be granted in less than 48 hours by email.

For applying to Tier 2 ICT, one should be in their employer's payroll for a minimum period of 12 months. So in your case, tier 2 ICT is NOT possible when changing to new employer.

Re: ILR based on my son turning 7

Both the options are NOT possible to apply for ILR, as you've broken the continuity of your visa by applying new entry clearance T2 ICT in March 2013. The only option left over for you is to spend 12 months outside of the UK and then come again in T2 General visa with the suitable sponsor employer a...

Re: ICT Long term_ is salary of over 41000 mandatory?

As per the UKBA rules, for T2 ICT Long-term visa the annual salary should be above £41500 or the equivalent salary threshold of the SOC, whichever is HIGHER. Going by that rule, you should have a min. of £41500 annual salary to be eligible for T2 Long-term visa.

You'll be eligible for 10 years ILR (Long residence), if you continue to stay working in the UK with the same employer until 2021. This is the present UKBA rules, but might change anytime before your ILR.

Re: Tier 2 ICT short term to Tier 2 general

You should be paid above £41600 annual salary for Tier 2 ICT Long term visa. If there're any malpractices found out by home office, then your employer license will get revoked and also your visa will become invalid and that'll be a very risky situation.
