Hi,
You typically receive just one email of approval which will have your reference number after which you need to call the council to book your citizenship ceremony. At the ceremony you get a certificate which you use to apply for your British Passport

Wouldn't it make sense for the OP's wife to apply ILR through Tier 2 General 5 year route in 2021.
Switching to FLR will reset the ILR clock to 0?
I agree with this. We are in 2021 already.

What harm is it going to do to request your documents using the form when your application has already been granted? It is not like they can "ungrant" it. Better still, call Home Office. Their number is on their website.
