Thanks for the tip. I was unsure if there would be an issue in reagrds to the declaration I made when I applied about making the UK ' my main home', and whether my being out of the country for a while affected this condition/requirement.
Any further ideas/comments greatly appreciated!

Out of country, HSMP still valid???

Hi, I have been given a HSMP visa, valid until july 2010. I am currently out of the UK (departed nov 06) and wont be returning for a while. Does anyone know if my visa will still be valid if I try to re-enter in the next year or so?

The 2 months/5 weeks question, but from another perspective:
I sent my application in on 19-jul, 2 days before my 1st HSMP expired. It cleared payment on the 20th, and it's still with them.
Watch this space for answers to 'how late can i leave my renewal application?'

HSMP Extension and FLR(IED)

Hi, Ive applied for my HSMP extension/FLR(IED). The only thing is, that since payment has cleared, my initial FLR(IED) has expired. So the Home Office has cleared the payment, but I have no passport or current leave to remain. Not a big problem really, but Im just wondering what happens, as my work ...

HSMP Extension- Stupid question

Ive just had a realisation- when applying for my 3 year HSMP extension, do I have to fill in all those pages as for the initial 1 year visa (again)? I had an idea that it was only a few questions I had to answer, and not the whole lot, but I think I might not have paid enough attention to detail!???

Hey,
Unfortunatly its just interest-travel (backpacking) and in no way work related! Has anyone else spent large amounts of time overseas and successfully got the 3 year extension?

You dont need to have the application assesed and returned in the month, you only need to have lodged the HSMP and the FLR (IED) aplication before your other expires. Just insure the HSMP apliaction is in before the FLR (IED)- I submitted my HSMP appliaction 3 days before my FLR (IED). Whatever visa...

UK Main Home- Time in country?

Hi, Im applying for my HSMP extension in June. Just wondering if there is a limit to how much time you can spend out of the UK in that initial HSMP year and still be considered for an extension (given that youre meant to make the UK your main home)? Have been employed for 5 of the months since july....

Hey, Dont know if this is too late to help- I recieved my HSMP visa last year based on income from a limited company- my limited company supplied a letter stating that I was actively involved in the day-to-day management of my company by seeking contacts for the company to fulfil. Basically Im a loc...

Nope, didnt ask for urgent treatment, but my application was pretty straight forward and I work in an 'area in need' position, so that couldve helped. My income was earned in the UK over the past year, and Ive worked in the UK on a Working Holiday Maker Visa for the past two years. Got my passport b...
