Re: BRP Card Renewal Form RC £56; New online Service £228

Thanks for the reply.

When do I get an appointment? Does that come by mail after submitting the application? Trying to get a sense of timeline and process. If I submitted it today, would I then wait for my appointment? Or do I get an appointment online when I submit?

Re: BRP renewal

Thanks. I did read that but I felt it didn't provide adequate information for renewal of the BRP card itself and not a new application for ILR. That's been my difficulty actually, everything I'm reading online is about applying for ILR from scratch when I am looking for specifics on renewing my chil...

BRP renewal

What's the fastest way to apply for BRP renewal? In the past we used the premium centres for in person application, don't know how to do it now. Just need to renew a BRP card for a child which expires in May.

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Does anyone know if it's possible to renew the BRP card from overseas? I cant risk mailing in the application for my son and him being without his passport for six months.

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Is it a mistake, do you think, to apply for them with my husband? Will they reject them even if they grant my husband citizenship because I will still have ILR?

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Hi,

My husband has made an appointment for NCS for himself (AN) and two of our children (MN1). I'm going to postpone my application until we hear back the results for my husband and kids. Do I have to be present at the appointment as the mother of the children?

Re: Do you have to wait to apply for spouse

Yeah i know but we've decided to do ours one at a time. So my question is, if my husband's application is successful can I then apply as the spouse of a British citizen right away? Or are there any rules around this?

I just mean where are people getting the info they are posting on that thread, like when the application is received by the home office and stuff. How can you tell?

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Hi there all knowledgeable people :-) I went today to submit the passport application for my newborn (born in the UK) at the check and send service at the post office. Both parents have had ILR since 2012. The woman helping me said that I need to submit tax records since both parents were not Britis...

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Does a parent have to apply at the same time as a child under section 3(1)? We currently have ILR and are planning on submitting our AN applications later in the month but wanted to do the children ahead of ours. Is that ok or do we have to submit the child applications at the same time as ours? Tha...

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Still not clear on what I'm supposed to do when the valid until date is reached on the BRP card? Unless the holder applies for new employment or has a new landlord, I don't think anything needs to be done. It's for children. Would they be allowed to travel in and out of the country with a BRP card ...

Re: Child Rules for BC application

For children applying under section 3(1), do you have to provide proof of residence in the Uk? Also, what qualifies as that proof for a child?

Other documents required would be:

- British Passport photo
-Child's birth certificate
-Child's passport
-parent's marriage certificate

Is that everything?

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Although the ILE entry clearance or B R P may expire, the Indefinite Leave status doesn't, unless the holder has been absent from the UK for over two years.. So when you reach the valid to dates on your residence card are you supposed to apply for a replacement? https://www.gov.uk/government/public...

Re: Child Rules for BC application

By definition, ILR does not expire. It is indefinite. All children born outside the UK will have to apply under Section 3(1), with at least one parent applying for naturalisation or already having British citizenship. CR001 has pointed out the other requirements. Children over 10 years of age also ...

Re: Child Rules for BC application

Ok thanks, will keep questions to this topic.

So eldest will be under section 3(1), also youngest? We all currently have ILR, have had it since 2012. Eldest's ILR is expiring in May of this year.
