Re: Travelling close to EEA Family Permit Visa end date

No, there is no risk. She has the right to enter with you, and the family permit was also (under EU law) unnecessary, but good to have for peace of mind. Traveling back while it is still valid, from a European country, with proof of having applied for an RC, is a non-issue.

Re: Returning on expired EEA FP (boarding a flight?)

Nothing to worry about. There aren't immigration controls anyway between the two countries. Secondly, as an Australian passport holder, the visa check is a non-issue, as no visa is required (as far as Ryanair is concerned, she could be going for a visit). Finally, the FP is only there to facilitate ...

You WILL get your old passport back with the front cover punched through. The residence card will still be valid, though.

PR is a whole lot cheaper than ILR, if that's any help, so you'd save a tonne of money by sticking to that route!

Re: EEA 2 refused and detained need HELP

I agree that you should stay and fight this. If this is not a sham marriage, then going back would weaken your case.

But I don't think you should count on prayers to help you - they won't, and giving that as advice on this forum is ridiculous and dangerous.

Re: EEA2 - Right to Travel - Re-entry to UK

I don't see the problem here. A non-visa national can simply board a flight to the UK and present himself at the border. There, he says he is joining his EEA citizen spouse, and that there is already an application for an RC. He ought to have proof of the relationship, and ideally the rental contrac...

Re: Need to travel in emergency

Your child can't be Indian, as it likely automatically derived citizenship from you. Have you checked? They could hassle you in India when you try to enter on a non-Indian passport with a child using an Indian passport... what will you do about that?

Yes, will be problematic. If your spouse has a job in Indonesia waiting for her, it could help, but won't necessarily. Tough one.

Re: Meaning of stamp "Leave to enter UK is given for 6 month

I think there is confusion here. Leave to enter for 6 months just means that your partner can visit the UK for 6 months. I take it that you are just visiting the UK, so this is just the stamp that indicates this. It does NOT mean that your partner can leave and enter again without you for a period o...

Re: IS EEA FAMILY PERMIT HOLDER ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN UK?

The COA is the document you got to acknowledge your application for the RC. Do you have that? What does it say about employment? You can also try to show any prospective employer a printout of the UK immigration page stating your rights are automatic, and copies of your passports and marriage certif...

Re: EEA Family permits application from Dublin

Well, when you fly directly to the UK, there are no border controls anyway, so don't worry about being denied entry. You also have the right as an EEA family member to enter with him. BTW, you say boyfriend. Are you unmarried? Should be fine still especially since your relationship has been recognis...

Re: First time EU FP at the border + applying for EEA FM

The most important thing to know is that, by being your spouse, she has the RIGHT to enter the EU and live with you. This is automatic, and legally, no documentation other than the proof of relationship is necessary. Now that that's out of the way, the UK loves to make it difficult for foreigners, a...

Re: Traveling without EEA Family on EEA FP HELP!!!

You can join your family member in the UK. Take proof of the family relationship with you, and if possible, proof that the family member is in the UK (payslip, for example).

What did you put down in your application? Follow, or accompany?

You can enter using your US passport, and at immigration in the UK, show whichever passport you used to apply for the RC, and proof of having applied+marriage certificate if you want to be readmitted as an EEA family member.

Were you moving to the UK to live? If not, why did you bother with the EEA FP instead of entering on the strength of your passport?

If you WERE moving to the UK, then you ought to have demanded that you be admitted under EEA family rules. But, I can understand if you didn't want to bother with it.

Re: EEA FP Albanian / Greek Citizien

You can apply now, and your rights are automatic. However, without the EEA citizen having a job, your COA will likely not stipulate the right to work (even though this is automatic). Employers, unfortunately, want this in writing.

Your status is automatic. Legally, you need not do anything, but you can use the EEA(PR) form: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apply-for-a-document-certifying-permanent-residence-or-permanent-residence-card-form-eea-pr You can also just wait the extra year and apply directly for naturalis...

Re: EEA family permit application help!!

Forget about Surinder Singh. That's only relevant if an EEA national is bringing a non-EU partner with whom he/she lives in another EU country, back to his home country. There's no telling how the Brits will see your durable relationship. With all the proof you have, it could work, but there is no g...

What Surinder Singh route? The EEA partner is Polish, not British. The unmarried route will be difficult because you both haven't actually lived together for at least two straight years, but you are welcome to give it a go if you have time/money. The issue is that you don't have an automatic right b...

Re: EEA Family permit about to expire, Got job now

Will your employer allow you to continue working even with an expired EEA FP? If so, that's great because you can work with or without it as long as your partner is exercising treaty rights. You can't extend the FP. Apply for an EU FAM residence card. Your partner can apply for an EU card as well. I...
