Re: I'm holding Stamp 4EUfam,Do I need UK visa?

For proof of funds the bank printed out a bank statement for us but it only showed my wife's name, not mine. It is a joint account and half the money going into it shows on the statement it was coming from me.

Re: Relocating to Ireland

Technically he can start work the moment he arrives in Ireland. Some people wait until they have a stamp in their passport, but he can start work immediately. I have applied for stamp 4 Eufam. Can I begin working now without the visa? What do I say to employers if they ask about visa? I have a pps ...

Re: I'm holding Stamp 4EUfam,Do I need UK visa?

Not true, no way would he be deported. Once he is stopped by immigration they may give him a bit of a hassle but they would have no choice but to issue him with a visa. EU rules are clear, spouses of EU nationals have free movement rights within the EU. The UK Border Agency tries by all means to di...

We both got here in January, so not long at all. I take it there is a time frame that she has to have been working here first?

Re: Right to Work in Ireland for non-EEA Spouse of UK Citize

Do you need all documentation before even getting the temporary stamp? As my wife can start working now but we will have to wait a little while before we can get pay slips. Also we are staying in a friends sleepout so how do we get around the documentation required for residency? We can get the hous...

Would this free movement law work in other European countries? Germany? As in if my wife excersises her treaty rights in Germany, I can then work there also? What if we intend to only stay for a couple of months in Germany?

Residence card for non eea national

My wife and I are both New Zealand citizens but my wife also holds a British passport (through her parents being British). We are married in New Zealand. We are currently in Germany as visitors but want to travel to Ireland and work. As I understand it: I can travel with my wife to Ireland and I can...

So both of us can fly to Ireland and as long as my wife is working there then I am allowed to work there also? How long does my wife have to be working there to be "excercising her treaty rights"? And how soon do I have to have proof of being allowed to work there? Also what is involved in...

New Zealand citizen married to a uk passport holder

Long story but it's best I explain it all. My wife is a New Zealand citizen but her parents are British so she applied and received a British passport. We wanted to travel/work in UK but decided it would be easier for me to apply for a tier 5 youth mobility scheme rather than a visa through my wife'...
