Thank you Simon, for your quick response. Isn't this an unprecedented situation for UKBA? They've already made an adjustment to the financial requirements in the wake of it, I'm failing to fathom why aren't there any leeway for stranded applicants? (Sorry for the rant, couldn't help!)

Dear All, The visa has been granted. Really, it wouldn't have been possible without the support and guidance that I got on this forum. Many thanks to all moderators / members for this. One query: I applied for a spouse visa (not an unmarried partner) so does it have to be "D - PARTNER STANDARD...
Hi KayPee, No, we haven't received any calls from the HO. How was your interview? Did it go well? Best, Megha Yes, the verification call was in-depth and seemingly focused largely on my employment details. Right from my day-to-day activities at job to the MD of the business etc, they asked quite a ...

I dont fully understand what you are saying.. For second part the template is you. Just say you have changed job and here are the details of new job which you started after submitting application - provide new contract if you have. What I basically meant is that in my case it is me who left the job...
Very silly to change job whilst waiting for a decision on visa. You are lining yourself up to get into some difficulties. If a case worker calls your previous job (which you have mentioned on application) they may confirm that you dont work there. You can write to UKVI and tell them of the change o...
Hello All, I'm a British National (via ILR route) since about 1.5 years. My wife has applied for her Spouse Visa in the end of March 2018. I was permanently & full time employed for 7 years until 19th January 2018 whereon my position was made redundant. I have been earning well above the financi...

Hello, My husband received the original documents back from Sheffield today. UKVI provided a note as well: "Thank you for sending documents in support of a UK visa application. Copies of all these documents have been retained by UKVI in order to assess the application and as such we are return...

Still haven't had any updates from the UKVI! Very lousy of them to not even acknowledge. Thinking of doing a FOI request. I was trying to find your timeline here https://www.immigrationboards.com/immigration-for-family-members/new-flr-m-timelines-only-t220603-240.html but couldn't find. I'll be pos...

Hi KayPee, Nothing yet - No communication from UKVI. Today is the 24th working day (from the date of Biometrics). Even the documents are not posted back. The wait just continues.... It is a standard application but still they should have communicated. Best, Megha Very strange, have they change the ...
Hi there, It is the 17th working day from the day of Biometrics but still I haven't received any email from UKVI about my application? Also, the supporting documents are not returned yet. We posted it via Royal Mail and as per the tracking no., the documents are delivered and received by someone. I...

No need to send photocopies because they scan all documents into their system anyway. A lot of people still send photocopies. If your really worried then just send photocopy of maybe most docs such as English test and marriage certificate. I am not too sure how courier works in India, but if your s...
Send with Royal Mail special delivery A real quick one, just to clear the ambiguity of UKVI scanning documents, we do not need to send the photocopies of all the documents to the Sheffield Office or do we? Wife asked the person at token counter & was told at VFS that she needs to send two sets,...
Your wife can send to Sheffield directly from India if she already has the documents with her, or she can send to you and then you forward to Sheffield, either way is fine. No need for bar codes. Thanks for the clarification :) Though lot of people on this forum are having issues with sending anyth...
