PBS (Tier 2) dependent ILR allowed absences from UK within qualifying period

A quick google search gives me this weblink removed by moderator , but from this forum I understand that the 180 day rule is not applicable for PSB dependent applying for ILR? If indeed the 180 day rule is applicable for the PBS dependents now (could I please have a link to official release?), can t...

Re: UK presence at the start of the 90 qualifying period?

I am not sure there is a requirement for physical presence in the UK 12 months prior to application, Casa. The only physical presence in the UK requirement is to be present in the UK either three years (if applying as the spouse of a British citizen) or five years prior to the application for natur...

Re: UK presence at the start of the 90 qualifying period?

Many thanks for the quick response. Booklet AN (Nov 2015) page-6, mentions a UK presence requirement at the start of the 5 yr QP (which I satisfy), but there is no explicit mention of the UK presence requirement at the start of the final 12 month QP. Good that I decided to confirm before applying. C...

UK presence 12 months before date of AN application?

I am wondering if it is necessary to be present in UK at the start of the 90 day period for the final 12 month period of the qualifying period before applying for British naturalization. I was granted ILR at the end of Oct 2014. I am planning to apply for British naturalization in about 2 weeks’ tim...

Travel for business on a valid work visa

Hi, I recently moved back to UK from Germany to take up my new job here. I still have a valid German work visa until the end of this year (Dec 2015). I need to travel to Germany on business for couple of days at the end of this month (Oct 2015) and the question is if I can use my valid German work v...

Re: Tier 2 Dependent visa fee

Thanks. I am now trying to book an appointment online for same day processing of my wife's T2 dependent visa. The procedure requires answer to the following question "which category has the main applicant applied for". The relevant options seem to be "T2 (general) over 3 years" o...

Re: Tier 2 Dependent visa fee

Thanks for the link to 319D(a)(ii). It states the duration of leave that will be granted. My question is different. I want to know which payment option should be selected (ticked) in page 3 (section A (A1)) of the current Tier 2 visa application form https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uplo...

Tier 2 Dependent visa fee

My wife will be applying to renew her T2 general dependent visa soon (from within UK). I hold an ILR since November 2014, obtained via T2 general work route. In the most recent form for T2 general dependent visa, which payment category should be selected, "over three years" or "up to ...

Re: Self on ILR, spouse on PBS (Tier 2) dependent, UK entry?

Yes, I obtained ILR based on my Tier 2 status. Could I please request you to direct me to a UKBA link where it says that if the main application obtained an ILR based on his T2-PBS, then dependent's (spouse's) T2 visa is valid to enter UK until its expiry? A print out of this will help me during UK ...

Re: Self on ILR, spouse on PBS (Tier 2) dependent, UK entry?

I called up UKBA (paid service) in order to get some final words before I travel back to UK to take up my new job and settle. The lady was unsure of the rules and my query kept me on hold and went to ask her supervisor. She finally advised that since my visa category has changed from Tier 2 to ILR, ...

Re: Self on ILR, spouse on PBS (Tier 2) dependent, UK entry?

My wife holds a PBS dependent visa. But as I have changed my job now, I was wondering if her passport will be stamped as a visitor or as a PBS dependent?

Re: Self on ILR, spouse on PBS (Tier 2) dependent, UK entry?

Thanks, just one more question. Will my wife get an entry as a visitor or as a PBS dependent (which allows her to work as well)?

I am moving back to settle and my wife plans to renew her visa while in UK before her current visa expires.

Please advise.

Self on ILR, spouse on PBS (Tier 2) dependent, UK entry?

Hi, I have an ILR issued last year and my wife has PBS (Tier 2) dependent visa until 31 Dec 2015. My wife's PBS dependent visa is based on my earlier Tier 2 visa based on which my ILR was issued. I moved to Germany for ~6 months in Dec 2015 on a research fellowship and will be moving back to UK with...

Re: I am on ILR, my wife on Tier-2 PBS dep, can she stay in

Thanks for your inputs. The document which came with my ILR biometric card states that I can come back to UK (within 2 years) on my ILR status only if I have intention to return to UK to settle permanently. Does coming into UK for job interviews invalidate this requirement and I looks my ILR status....

Re: I am on ILR, my wife on Tier-2 PBS dep, can she stay in

Yes, I do plan to come back in 6 to 8 months as soon as I get a job in UK. But this does not answer my question. My question is whether my wife can stay in UK on T-2 PBS dependent visa which is valid until Dec 2015. I will try to come back before then. Considering my wife has joined me in Germany in...

I am on ILR, my wife on Tier-2 PBS dep, can she stay in UK?

I am an Indian national on ILR now. My employer has notified me that my project has come to an end and I need to find a new job. My wife (also Indian) is in Tier-2 PBS dependent visa valid until Dec 2105. I have found myself a job in Germany (none in UK!). I should get my German resident permit next...

Set O, payment page (card) details if already paid online?

Should the payment section for the card details be filled in the Set O form if already paid online for application at the PEO office?
Should the section be filled with the same card details which was used for the online payment or should it be left blank? Please advise.

Should I print my Set O form single sided or double sided (duplex) printing is allowed? Are there UKBA instructions on this anywhere?

Re: Date calculation confirmation,28 day period under 90 day

seems like i was drunk when I composed my question. There are so many typos. They are corrected now.

I am calculating 5 year qualifying period from 26-11-2009 i.e. the visa UK (tier-2) visa stamp date.

So can I apply 26-11-2014 - 28 days = 29 Oct 2014. Please confirm.

I cannot imagine how or why anyone would send passports by a non recorded mail.
