Tier 2 extension limits

Dear all,

Is there a maximum on the number of Tier-2 extensions one can apply for, other than the 6 year limit. In the past, I have had a change of employer under Tier-2 and an extension and require another extension of 6-months to get to ILR.

I think indeed there is a limit to extensions now, but its dependent on the date when you got your first Tier 2. You need to give more details on when you got your visa stamped with Tier 2 for the first time.

I was first granted Tier-2 on 10 Jan 2010. My current leave expires 14 Oct. 2014. This is 4 years 9 months. I qualify for ILR Jan 10 2015. I am seeking to apply for a 6-month extension beyond 14 Oct 2014.
