Hi milan69, i just asked both of my referees if HO ever tried to contact them but both said no. By any chance r u aware if HO has made any contact to ur referees so atleast it will give a picture that wat is the status of our case. Thanks

Updates.finally I got my brown envlope too as I have applied for my son too so I get one latter stated tat both applications r acepted.
I want to ask one think tat on my latter it is written tat u should not contact local athority for ceremony invitation bt u will get ur self an invitation latter n if u didnt get then u contact on the given mail adress.so I wana ask that is it normal.

I was reading the forum for the last couple
of weeks,when i saw that ppl who applied same time
as me started receiving their approvals
I rang HO to ask for the update and was told
That my application is not even on the system yet!!

both of my referees have told me that no one from HO has contacted them.

You are right pretty much about everything you've said 27pence but there were quite a few cases here where people were told by phone that letter from HO was on the way to them and it did arrive few days later.

I received my lucky three brown envelops today. My two little children and me. I thought they will ask various questions because i am a sinlge father who shares my children's custody 50/50 but Thanks God all was straight forward.

Language criteria met : Life in the UK + B1
Current nationality: Pakistani

Council name if NCS used: Manchester.

I have been observing timelines in November 13, December 13 and January 14 and was constantly calling HO to get updates on my application and every time I called I had below response.

I called on 3rd march , 5th march and I called today and they said it's in progress not completed and it takes 6 months, I replied I will call next week. When I get home after work I found this brown envelope -approval.

I will say all of you please don't bother calling them because they don't know anything progress.....

I went and looked at my post today, and the approval was still not there !!!!!.

May be next week (Applied 6th January, Received by UKBA 7th January, money debited 25th January)

Oh well. NOt much you can do anyway until July if it does not come before then

Judging by the rate of approvals in the past 3 weeks I would like to be optimistic and think that in 2-3 weeks time most of us January applicants will have received their approvals.
