ILR SUCCESS WITH TRAFFIC OFFENCE AT CROYDON 8th March 2014

Post by rrmaruti » Sat Mar 08, 2014 6:09 pm

Hi,

I had an appointment for ILR today at Croydon and it was successful. I had 6 points on my license and was fined £ 450 on January, 2013. I was very much worried, but by the grace of God, I got my ILR. My advise to the guys who are in such situation is do the Basic Disclosure Scotland (CRB) and Subject Access Request (SAR check. Both of mine reports were clear.

Thank you very much to all the experts for their valuable advise, and special thanks to Amber for the prompt reply and advice. Guys if you have any question please post me and I will reply ASAP.

Yes I had mentioned in the application. But if your conviction is spent you should mention in your application.

CONGRATES!!!!!!

You did SAR and Disclosure and both were clear, Then

did you TICK that box that you have criminal conviction?

And

Did you just put offence code OR you explained it as well?

Also

what made you tick the box of criminal conviction ticked (if you did) if both SAR and Disclosure were clear?

Cheers

Beacause I was convicted on 13.01.2013 and it was not spent. It is better to declare, otherwise it they do the check and if they find out then you won't be able to apply for 10 years.

Hi rrmaruti,

Congratulations! I recently came across your post; I have a similar case and as such and would like to confirm if you got the fine and penalty point from the court. Kindly reply. Thank you.

Hello teme

i am pretty sure rrmaruti was fined in court and hence he checked his pnc and sar report. If you have a similar case and not sure just check the SAR report for £10 and if the offence is on the report. You need to wait for 24 months from the date of conviction

Dear Advisors,
I am going to apply for my ILR after 6th May. Today on 28th March in the morning I was stopped by police for receiving mobile call whilst driving and fined 100 pounds and 3 points. I am very much worried about how is it going to affect my ILR application. Need your valuable advice please.

Then just keep and carry on ! :)

No need to worry... drive safe and its upto you to declare as its a FPN.

Thanks

I initial entered UK with Tier 2 ( General ) Visa which was valid from 24-May-2010 to 22-Apr-2013 and my first date of entry into the UK was on 04-June-2010 which was 10 days from visa validity.
After one year, I switched over to TIER 1 (General) visa from 20-May-2011 which is valid unti 20-May-2016

What documents do I need to submit for this switch over for Tier2 to Tier1 Visa?
