i think misread my post Soniaa, it was not my approval i quoted someone there.

My approval is no where to be seen yet, applied on the 13th, received by UKBA 14th, Fees debt 27th...no updates since then.

Balance drop on 28th and shown on statment on 29.today 30/1/14 get acknowledgement letter dated 28/1/14

Updates.finally I got my brown envlope too as I have applied for my son too so I get one latter stated tat both applications r acepted.
I want to ask one think tat on my latter it is written tat u should not contact local athority for ceremony invitation bt u will get ur self an invitation latter n if u didnt get then u contact on the given mail adress.so I wana ask that is it normal.

I am still waiting and applied on 14th Jan .

My Indian passport is expiring this month end and I am confused if I have to renew the passport??.

Cant do much with this UKBA other than waiting..

Even renew takes 2 to 3 weeks Jegdis5, plus around 100+ pounds for the replacement.

Unless you have an immediate travel plan, i guess waiting for the UKBA is financially more viable move.

I am planning to go to India by September but I am wondering if I will be getting my Approved naturalisation before my passport expires?

I am not sure if I the process is easy to renew the expired Indian passport...I dont want to get stuck

I called the HO earlier today regarding my application request (spelling error on Certificate of reg needs correcting)

He just told me they have thousands of applicants to deal with each day and its still in process.

it seem HO, is back to resting time.... no news for 2nd week of Jan application!
Past two weeks very few approvals....
I need to go for world tour... in summer!!!

I said, i know of 4 people who have applied in Jan a week later than me, and all of them got approvals, so the 3rd Nov story doesn't make sense...?

"as i said we are dealing with the 3rd Nov applications so your application is incomplete, thank you for your call...beep beep beep"

Hi - I have been reading this forum for a few weeks and thought I would add my timeline.

Eligibility criteria: ILR + 5yr
Language criteria met: Life in the UK test and ESOL B1 English exam
Method of application: NCS-Bromley
Payment method: Credit card
Date of application: 10/01/2014
Date of receipt by UKBA: 13/01/2014
Date fees taken: 29/01/2014
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 31/01/2014
Date of receipt of approval: WAITING
Date of ceremony: WAITINIG

I've called the 0870 number a couple of times and each time received a similar response along the lines of my application still being processed and not having been assigned to a caseworker yet. It is a bit frustrating seeing people who have applied after me already in receipt of their approvals, but I guess there is nothing to do but just wait!
