Inviting Sister and family

Post by robinkurian » Sat Mar 15, 2014 8:14 pm

Hi

I'm on Tier 1 and would like to invite my sister and family. Can I apply for a family visitor visa or the only option is visitor visa? For document requirement for visitor visa, i dint see any requirement for my documents. Is there a point in sending invitation letter if they are applying for visitor visa?

Also is there a guidance on how much deposits they should be showing, if they intend to stay for a month here.

Regards

Hi ..,

1 )If guess, you can apply only for visitor visa. (family visitor visa can be done only by applied by settled people /citizens )

2) Yes you have to send a invitation letter

3) Make sure you have enough bedrooms for your guests.

4) Show documents like your council tax, eon bills your bank statements.

4) Show documents that they have enough money for their trip and

5) show documents that they will return at the end of the visit. ( eg Sister Leave letter from her office, you family property in your father/mother name.....etc.. )

All the best....

You can find more information about travelling formalities for non-EU nationals on the following link:

They should apply for family visitor visa. I'm on Tier 1 and my mother visited me couple of times on family visitor visa.

Hi

Had another query - my brother in law already has a business visa for the UK. Does he need to apply for a seperate tourist visa if he needs to come down for 2 weeks to visit me?

Thanks

If your brother already got a visa to enter UK then why he need another visa? I don't see any reason.
