I dont know is it worth me contacting my MP to ask about my request to the Home office?

I has been 2 months now since I sent a request to the Nationality department to correct a spelling error on my certificate of Registration.

I got nothing...not even ack letter. All I know is they took the £94.00 fee back on 6th Feb.

Dear ur case is not big deal so why ur worried.its a spelling mistake corection so hopefully u will get in inthe couple of weeks n if at the end of this month u didint get ur certificate ten u should call MP

Yes, your citizenship is already approved, only the spelling is mistake, so there is no use contacting MP for all trivial reasons.

Would be meaningful if it was to do with your main application where you are waiting for more than a month...

Finally finally arrived . The most awaited and expected letter. Thank God. I can stop calling home during lunch to ask if any brown envelope arrived in d post for me.

Received my approval letter on 14th march dated 9th march . Exactly 2months.
Yet to call council though.

Pls anyone knows if NCS Edinburgh conduct ceremony on a Saturday . Can't afford to ask for half a day hol so soon. Just coming back from 1week sick off.

Hi Guys. I finally received the invitation to the ceremony today. Hopefully my Approval letter is on it's way too, because I would need it for my ceremony. Good luck for those who is still waiting. I agree with many previous posters that the HO sending the approval letter by 2nd class post is not acceptable- should be sent by recorded delivery- I am happy to pay them an extra £5 to cover costs if needed. Hi All!

There is no doubt, this forum is such a helpful resource for all the applicants but this is still lacking with one massive information and that is contact date to referee.

I think administrator of this forum should add this point in thread timeline questionnaire so then everybody can enter the date whenever their referees are being contacted by HO so we all will get an idea that how much time usually HO takes to process the application after contacting the referees or in other words once HO gets the feedback from the referees then how long they take.

I hope who ever runs this thread or forum will consider my suggestion. Thanks

A couple of my friends told me the referee may not be necessarily contacted by home office and in their case the referee were not contacted. However your point is worth noting if the successful/ approved applicants can confirm if their referees were ever contacted will be a useful info for the others.

Thanks for your reply. You are also right even I have read some where that not in all cases HO make a contact to the referees but I have one friend here in my city and he got his approval in December. He was telling me that HO made a contact to both of his referees. Therefore I was thinking if we all can add this information in our time line if HO do contact our referees in our cases then it will be a great help for each other.

Called HO twice today and first time I was told my application hasn't been completed yet by HO and second time I was told that it has not been assigned to a case worker yet. I've applied on January 28th.

Hi everyone on this forum. I sent an email earlier today on 17/03/14 to HO (nationalityhelpdesk@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk) asking status of my application and they replied the same day:

"I have checked our records and can confirm a decision has been made on this application, the decision letter and any supporting documents will be with you shortly".

What does this mean? Does it mean its an approval? I applied on 16/01/2014 using NCS
