yeah i called the HO today too..he suggested i write to the nationality department to ask whats going on with my request. Im obviously not gonna bother with that...theres noway in hell theyd reply to me since they have thousandes of applicants a day to deal with.

TBH i think the HO call centre people dont have uptodate info while the applications are being processed. It seems they only get updated when the application is received, and when its being transferred to wherever and when a decision has been made. But it seems they dont know the details.

I could be wrong though obviously. were just guessing.

Just spoke the HO and I was told that my application is "Pending Consideration". Does anyone know what this means in terms of how long further down the line it is?

It can most likely mean that it is waiting for a case worker to process it.

Eligibility criteria: 5 years businessperson + 8 months ILR (Annex B, Ch 18, Para 7.5G discretion)
Citizenship: Pakistani
Method of application: NCS Westminster
Date applicant sent: 16/01/14
Date of receipt by UKBA: 17/01/14
Date of debit of fees: 04/02/14
Payment method: Cheque
Date of acknowledgement letter: 29/01/14
Date of approval: 07/03/14 (the letter was received by me on 19/03/14)
Date of Ceremony: 20/03/14 Private ceremony

Finally this wait is over. I must say it has been a pleasure to be on this forum and to learn from all you amazing people. HO use 2nd class post and it took my approval letter 12 days to arrive! So stay patient, and in the end it will all be good! In actuality, it took one month and one week from the point of acknowledgement letter issue to the date of the decision letter issue.

I only sent HO email and they reply by email. But, its clear from approval letter that the date on it is 07/03/14 and I received it today 19/03/14....
Be patient everyone, it will come very soon. Especially, the 2nd class postage used by them is terrible, in addition to the slow pace at which they internally 'approve to despatch'.

Hey ppl;

Has any one called HO after they received there brown envlp/ approvals..? This is to check if there system update is totally not updated?
Like i have seen many ppl contacting them, and getting response such as incomplete, no decision made yet etc..
And then getting there envlps...
This will boost applicants hope...
Should they contact them and waste time and money.... get stressed n stuff
or relax and wait!!
they system is soo not right... i have seen many getting approvals from end week of jabn-2014
where mine was made on 2nd week of jan. a simple straight forward case!

Congratulations to everyone who has received their approval already!!! It looks as if many people from this group have received approvals during the previous week and it raises my hopes that I will hear from the HO soon Seems I am one of few from the week of 6th January whose case has not been processed yet.
