Getting in touch was the easy part... or let me put it this way- I was more informed about the status of the application before I made the call, than after it.

Hi all
i was called for finger scans after my 11 weeks were over and it was a painless process really:) because once you are in the embassy they just keep calling out names one by one and you're free within 30 minutes tops. ithey might ask for an interview but i didnt see any applicants being interviewed while i was there but still it would be a good practice to take all your documents/ photocopies with you just in case.
one thing is for sure that they do not start processing your application untill they get the fingerscans and after that if an interview is required they might call you again thats what the people at the emabassy told me anyway. they said it might take 8-10 days for them to reach a decision
just make sure you get there 1.5 hours before your appointment
cheers

my wife got her scans done on Wednesday of last week. She didn’t get interviewed either:) now the longest 8 days of your application have started! But it'll be all over soon and I hope you get a successful response

It is sad really, while people are waiting and dieing to hear some thing from them as early as possible, they simply take 11 weeks to start processing your case.

Fedex told me that normally it take 4 weeks to receive Settlement applications back from the BHC

that’s what fedex told my wife too.
once the fingerscan is done after 11 weeks and the process starts you don't know what they might ask for i.e more documents or interview. I just hope it goes well for everyone. Next week will be my wife’s 11 weeks

hmm thats strange because i was told at the embassy it will take 8-10 days. and when i was at fedex i asked a few pleople who were there to collect their passports and they told me that they got theirs a week after fingersans. Maybe it takes longer if BHC has to refer any application to the home office. this is very confusing because the max time for decision making is 3 months (12 weeks actually) but if they say it takes 4 weeks after fingerscans then they are certainly exceeding the time limit.

It takes a week for non settlement application after finger print scan but for settlement it normally takes 3-4 weeks as per fedex

Thank you:)
I got my visa on the day they took my fingerscans!! hard to believe but thats what it says on my passport. so i think thats what happens once you have passed the 11 weeks deadline you get a call for finger scans and after 12 weeks you get your visa for straightforward applications

hi my wife got her call from FedEx (after 10 weeks) to collect her letter from BHC islamabad. the letter was regarding her finger scan which will be next week. then inshallah after 8 - 10 days she will get her visa. for those people who went for their scan was there any problems getting to BHC Islamabad i.e traffic or security checks

hi irfan
if you havnet been to the embassy before than you need to know that no one is allowed direct access to the embassy . you have to report to the convention centre 1.5 hours before the appointmemt and from there there is a shuttle service which takes you to the BHC. make sure that your wife doesnt have mobile phone or any liquid product (perfumes etc) with her as they will certainly ask you to leave them behind so its better not to carry these things at all the difficult part is waititng in line and getting on the bus because you have to be outside in the hot sun for a very long time so make sure she wears cool clothing ..after that it is very easy and you are free in 30 minutes. plus it is advisable to bring along copies of your documents which you submitted with your application just in case they ask for an interview. thats all i think if anyone else has something to add they are more than welcome!
cheers

i don;t know if they do because i havent been interviewes but i called the number they have on the letter and the guy told me that the ECO may ask for an interview so its best to keep copies of the documents u submitted and any other that are relevant to your application
