@shafaq you made very initial application for citizenship on 10th Feb 2014? This seems too fast approval for me.

I think this is the fastest Application to Approval time I've ever seen. Good for you!!

What was the basis of your application? 5 year residency or spouse of Irish citizen?

i am pretty sure that there is a bit confusion over here.
@shafaq can you put the details of your dates if possible, clearly, like the other posts.
basis of your application
applicaiton date....
first letter...
seccond stage letter..
etc etc

Do you mean an invitation to a citizenship ceremony?

Shafaq is talking about British citizenship. I have suspected that when he said "money has been deducted" and now when he mentioned "home office" I am sure that he was granted British citizenship.
Shafaq, here we are talking about IRISH citizenship.

I guessed this Shafaq is talking about something else. Because I am not convinced he is talking about Irish citizenship.

I think the citizenship approval time has shortened tremendously. I got my approval in less than 13 weeks. This is just a week after I got permanent residence approval; as I applied for both at the same time. So I have now submitted my new GNIB card, the 950 Euros bank draft and two passport photos. I am waiting for an invitation letter to the next ceremony which I am hoping will be in June 2014 (or before the middle of July), otherwise I will need to request my GNIB card as I have to travel out in late July.
