To Mtahir

Sorry to hear about your refusal. I know how you feel. They only let people know to send them additional documents when they havent met financial requirement only. If its anything else they refuse straight away.

Insha Allah hope all works out for you whether you reapply or appeal. Good Luck.

You would know the Category from when the Appendix 2 form VAF4A (basically the financial requirements) form was filled. You specify there which category your sponsor receives income from

When filling the form theres a question that asks which cat your applying under thats how you know what cat you applied under, for example just seperated in different cat for self employed would be a different cat to employed by someone else.

To All,

My wife applied for a spouse visa at Gerrys in Islamabad on 27th Feb 2014
VFS global tracking service states :Application Forwarded To Islamabad OC on the 27.02.2014
Status changed on 10.03 2014 to :under process at the BHC

Awaiting outcome.

Reading a lot of posts on this website and the Home Office Website it is clear there is some wait involved, 90 days would be the very least you would expect to wait before you would want to query your application.
We have all know someone who have got there applications dealt with quicker however it does not always happen that way all the time.
As most people applying should be aware the Home Office expect you meet the requirements :
Financial Currently at £18,600
Proof of Marriage
English Test Requirement
Passport
Bank Statements
Wage Slips 6 Months or if Self Employed 2 Years Accounts
Residency in the UK
Proof of Communication between you and your Partner
Photos of Marriage ( if possible after marriage)
TB Test undertaken

There is no reason why your application would be refused and if somehow it is refused by the BHC it is open for an appeal.
The BHC may not be perfect in all cases however if you are refused and believe you meet all of the above eventually you can be successful on your appeal.

My advise be patient read all the information on the home office website and understand whats required.
I know its hard after being married to be so far apart but emotions have to be controlled

Aslam O Alikum

i am going to apply for my wifes visa. i am self employed and many self employed people got stuck and most of them been refused. I have heard if i change my bussiness to a LTD company and show myself as a employee of my company then i just need 6 months wage slips and bank statements. has anyone tried this method? what do u think about this idea?

In exactly the same position it's been almost a year and no answer. Why aren't we kept upto date we have a right our futures are at stake. I'm beginning to wonder whether it would be better to withdraw and reapply.

I'm surprised there's no courtesy to correspond with the people who have applied ages ago. I've been told I'm not put on hold as the BHC have not informed us in writing. Yet I have nothing in writing from them about anything. My MP is in close contact with them for me and soon shall receive a reply from them in sha Allah. My 2nd Anniversary is next weekend and I hear nothing about my husbands visa. I personally don't want to withdraw at the moment as I'm pushing my limits a little more in case BHC decide to change the status of our application. In sha Allah.

Don't worry in sha Allah, you'll hear from them very soon!

Did they ask for new payslips or original payslips before the date of application? What abt bank statements and employment letter?
It has been more than 6 months and they havent contacted me. Never asked for any document or anything.. Really worried.

I think it's jus frustrating that they haven't kept us updated they are playing with people's futures here, will b going to see mp on sat inshallah hope he can help, my employment letter confirmed I earned over the threshold however my wage slips didn't tally up because I took a long break in employment and have to travel a lot with work.. Will also b 2 nd anniversary for my Nikah completely understand how u feel.. I think were guna wait another maybe and then withdraw as hubby needs to return to work by 31st may so inshallah really am hoping we hear something soon
