Dependant absence from uk - ILR

Post by galaxy42 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 2:40 pm

Due to family commitments back home, my wife was away from UK for 17 month in total out of 5 years after I was grant my Tier 1 (general).

Next month or start of May I will be applying for ILR for both me and my wife.

Date are as follows.

First Leave to Remain granted - 14 May 2009

She first time came to UK in 2005

My Wife's absence date from uk in last 5 years:

20 Aug 2009 - 14 Apr 2010
02 Aug 2011 - 08 Sept 2011
07 July 2012 - 14 March 2013

Just was to know whether she would be having any difficulty in the getting ILR.

Thanks in advance.

There souldn't be a problem . Have you got a good reason for abscences between 07 July 2012 - 14 March 2013 ? If Yes, keep evidence with you.

Thanks for the prompt response.

She went to India after son was born and I was suppose to join her in 2 months. Things got delay for one reason or other, mostly because of the job commitments.

That's fine . You can explain if asked that she went to India to get family help post delivery of child .

Had I need to show the cohabitation proof for the above period, mentioned in my original post.

Your quick response would be very much appreciated.
