ILR Success @ Liverpool – (Tier-2 ICT to ILR) – 25-Mar-2014

Post by suchita02 » Fri Mar 28, 2014 10:20 pm

Thanks to everyone who contributed in this forum as it helped us a lot in getting ILR. I am glad to share our experience on the complete process below.

ILR was for main applicant and two dependents.

Appointment (was at 09:00 AM)
08:30 to 08:35: Security Check completed
08:40: PEO token was given
08:42: Called immediately for Document check
08:42 to 08:50: Documents were verified and were asked to wait in waiting area
08:52 to 09:00: Second call was made to go to a counter. At the counter documents were collected, passports were given back and
asked to wait in the waiting area until called for biometrics.
09:05 to 09:15: Called for biometrics which completed in 10 mins.
09:15: After biometrics was completed we handed passports back to the counter lady. She told us to wait in the waiting area.
09:15: Documents were then passed to a case worker who started the review.
10:45: The counter lady called us and handed over the documents along with the letter of confirmation. She also told that our BRP
will arrive in 7 to 10 working days.

BRP actually arrived on 27-Mar-14, 08:00 AM.

Payment and Booking
1. Online payment was done at UKBA website and print of payment sheet was kept.
2. While completing the registration for online payment a question was asked as “Which category of leave are you applying for?”
and the answer selected was “Other Main Applicant”.

Documentation

1. Completed Set(O) application form
2. We didn’t enter anything on the Set (O) form payment page as the payment sheet was enclosed.
3. Two recent photographs of main applicant and dependents with full name written on back side enclosed in a sealed envelope.
4. Passport of main applicant and dependents.
5. Biometrics of main applicant and dependents.
6. Main applicant:
a. Life in UK Pass notification letter
b. GESE grade 5 pass certificate
c. UK NARIC English language assessment letter
d. Letter from employer confirming the following. Still required for the employment, SOC code and current annual income.
e. Letter of absences from employer in the following tabular format see example below.
Trip No Travel To Date Out Date In Days Category
1 India DD-Mon-YYYY DD-Mon-YYYY 30 Visiting Family

f. Previous work permit document from UKBA. [My first 6 months during 5 years I was on work permit and then moved to
Tier-2 ICT]
g. 12 months payslip. This must have the latest months payslip
h. 12 months bank statement including the latest statement
i. Past 4 year’s P60
j. Past 3 year’s P11D
7. Document for Spouse:
a. Life in UK Pass notification letter
b. GESE grade 5 pass certificate
c. UK NARIC English language assessment letter

8. Cohabitation Documents:
I didn’t have any letter on joint names except two recent council bills that too dated in Mar-14.
So I provided individual documents for myself and spouse showing the same address covering last two years.
a. Latest Council tax bill showing both main applicant and spouse name.
b. Old Council tax bill having only main applicant name
c. NHS Card for main applicant and spouse separately.
d. Past two years NHS letters on spouse name
e. Electoral registration letter 2012, 2014 for both main applicant and spouse separately.
f. Previous VISA UKBA Letters for both
g. HMRC letters main applicant
h. Tenancy agreement main applicant
i. Spouse Bank statement
j. Spouse direct debit order for fitness centre
Note: They retained only spouse bank statement photocopy and returned all other cohabitation documents photocopies at the end.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to this forum for helping us throughout. I will be happy if I can give any assistance to the aspiring ILR candidates.

Congratulations on your ILR :)
I'm applying my ILR in next few weeks and need some guidance.
I am on tier 2 general but was on tier 2 ict from may 2009 to march 2013 and switched to tier 2 general last year.
Please would you let me know if an absence letter is required for family holidays also in India.
Also, please would you share employer confirmation letter template.

Congrats again on your successful ILR.

Many thanks
Thanks!

Hi
Yes you have to give details of each absences (including holidays in India or anywhere else)
you will need Letter from employer detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual leave from the UK.
We gave absence letter from employer on company letter head.

Your employer confirmation letter should include
- Date from which you are working in uk

- confirmation that you are still required for the employment
- the nearest applicable SOC code which best describes your employment
- Your current rate of pay (this should be given in the same format as given in the codes of practice, for example hourly rate or yearly salary.

I will try to share that letter.

Hi Suchita,

In this Employer Confirmation Letter , is it necessary to give the breakdown salary for all the twelve months ?
If just the annual salary is mentioned , won't that be sufficient ?
Cause anyways I will have the payslip, P60, and bank statements .

Thanks
Dari
