how recent do the referees signoffs need to be?

Hi,

I got my referees to sign-off for me a couple of months ago and had all my other documentation ready as well. Then I belatedly realized I still couldn't apply for another couple of months due to "physically being in UK" requirement that I had initially overlooked.

Does anyone know how recent the referees signatures need to be? For example if they have to be within the last month I'd have to go back to them to sign again (which I want to avoid if I can). Is there any official guidance out there on this?
