10 Years Long Residency Applicatioin While Pending Appeal

I am new on this forum, please give me reasonable advise because I am in serious confusion...

I am waiting for appeal to be heard, mean time I have completed my 10 years (continues 10 years lawful residence on student visa), First question is Can I make ILR application on long residency basis now, further as I have completed my 10 years and if I don't apply for ILR and wait for appeal to be heard and lost my appeal then my 10 years long residency period will be break or will I be able to apply on long residence basis within 28 days after losing the appeal. Your response will be really appreciated.

Further I have one student dependent , can you please tell me which form we have to use to for ILR.
