british citizenship

Post by pizi » Tue Apr 01, 2014 12:23 pm

I'm applying for the British Citizenship as a direct family member of an EEA national.
I've been married to a Spanish man for 14 years and have 2 children.
I received permanent residence card in 2011.
Do I need my husband's passport or an ID for applying for the British citizenship?
The problem is me and my husband's relationship went sour and he is refusing to give me his passport or an ID card.
Is there any solution to this problem?

Really?
But the last page of the citizenship application form 'supporting documents-section 6' state that I need my European husband's passport or ID. And it seems my husband is determined not to help.
I don't know what to do...

If you will apply as spouse of British only then you need his documents otherwise after 1 year of ILR you can apply for British citizen on your own

You application isn't based on him at all, moreover, you have proof of PR with the PR card.
