Can you combine different visa categories to get ILR

Can you combine say - 3 yrs Tier 1 + 2 yrs Spouse Visa to get 5yrs and therefore be elligible for ILR? Or do the 5 years have to be in one visa category only?

No, one cannot mix PBS leave with dependant leave to complete the 5 years.
