It's gonna be 10 months end of this week since my wife submitted her application in Lahore. We haven't been told if it's on hold or not and they stopped replying to our emails in January.

I have contacted my MP to chase them up, does anyone know how quickly they respond to MP's?

Dear Saf786,
there is no time limit because in april 2013 also I got refusal they give me right of appeal and they stated that u have to appeal within 28 days.so its better wait for one month and then reapply with fresh documents and also submit one year bank statements and wages slips as well and better to attach P60.that will very helpful to u.
Thanks,
My time Line:
Application Submit: 20 Januray 2014 (Islamabad)
Status: Application forwarded to Islamabad OC on 20 January 2014.
RFC: Please pray for me.
MY TIMELINE:
APPLICATION DATE: 20 JANUARY 2014 (ISLAMABAD)
RFC: Visa Granted on 23-09-2014

I'm in the same situation. I haven't heard any updates from my MP at the moment. He mentioned once they reply to him, he will be in touch with me. I take it as if I can wait 8 months, this wait for my MPs response shouldn't be much

Salaam,

I got some i think good.news, my husband just got his RFC saying to collect his passport, BUT we recently asked to withdraw our application, but in.the email it says a decision has been made, surely it would have said something about withdrawing your application blah blah, heres ur passport and documents....

Any thoughts!?

I don't want to put my hopes up.

A decision on your Visa application reference number:ISL XXXXXXX has been made by the British High Commission.
Your application has been received at the UK Visa Application Centre and is ready for collection. Please collect your Passport between 2pm to 3pm Monday through Friday.

It hasn't been a week since we sent the form off to ask our application to be withdrawn, so does it mean he will get that back, or theres actually a decision being made on our application

Got Rfc tday.. Visa refused. Just because they think my husband's employment ended 2 minths before the date of application because we didnt submit wageslips of those two months. Instead of asking for more documents they simply refused it.. Very upset now.

Got rfc after 6 and a half months. I applied on 20th sept 2013.

They hve given us 28 days to appeal. Shall i appeal ir withdraw. Or if my husband appeal's from Uk then how long will it take for the decision to be made?

Refused: 2nd April'14
Re-applied: 6th June'14

Appealed: 8th Dec'14
Call from BHC & call in letter: 25th Feb'15
RFC: 10th March'15

Sameena Akhtar : Either way it's you should be relieved and happy, life in uncertainty is not less than a toruture, Be positive. Insha Allah viza will be granted. :-)

KSAli : Am sorry to hear that, My advice would be not to appeal, Reapply if you have everything in order now. Appeal means 1 year wait approx.

All the best.
