Thanks for SS who replied my other thread earlier, just posting here again to see if anyone else has similar experience regarding reconsideration process and the reason behind requesting other documents. ?

I guess after decision was made, case work asked for BRP to be returned? in order to the make new one for you?

My Nationality needs Police registration all the time, every address change or visa status change. I took a look of others as I was quite curious of figuring out why HO want police reg cert (being my nationality, every new visa needs to be reported to the local police in 7 days.)

As I understand that once ILR is granted, reporting to local police would no longer required and HO will need to stamp on the police cert to say the holder doesn't have to register anymore.

after the refusal in last November 2013, all supporting documents include passport were returned to me. only BRP and Police certs were requested again in March 2014

passport, life in the uk test and et cetera were not requested by the case worker so far. I have my passport with me at the moment.

The latest reply I got from HO (actually from Liverpool office, LIV SET 1 department) was only asking the BRP and police certs and they didn't state the outcome. Thats why I am trying to ask others who has experienced the similar situation and whether HO had sent a outcome letter firstly and then ask for additional documents such as passport and so on.

I will stay positive and strong!

will passport be required always? I was required but seems some others in the forum were told to post their passport back even they hold valid Biometric permit with leave to remain. I thought Passport has no new information related to the application though as all the visa info are on the BRP permit card now.

jojo351 wrote:Dear all,

Apologies for another Topic

Just wondering after the HO offered reconsideration, did they ask you to post you current BRP or Passport or Police Reg Cert before they informing the outcome?

In my case HO only asked solicitor to post my BRP card and Police cert after we sent pre action letter and received a reconsideration reply.

Does Home office normally ask BRP only rather than the passport and other support documents?

Time line:

Set (LR) applied: July 28 2013
Refusal received: Nov 2013
Pre Action letter sent on: Dec 19 2013
Acknowledge of PAP: 23 Jan 2014
Reconsideration offered by Home office: 05 Feb 2014
Original BRP card and Police reg Cert required by Home office: 7 Mar 2014 all sent on 13th March and arrived Livepool SET department on the 17th March.

not yet received outcome informing letter so far apart from the request of original BRP and Police Reg Cert.

Many many thanks and prayers for myself and who are also waiting for decision

I have recently got ILR on long residency and want to apply for my wife FLRM before 6 April. which option shall i choose in section 2.2 and 2.3 in FLR M form. Please also confirm do I need to send my original biometric card and passport or photocopy of my passport and biometric card will be acceptable for FLR M application ? Thanks
Hi Fahad,Regards to your second question, you have to send photocopies of each and every page of your current passport and a photo
copy and your biometric card.
Your first question, I ticked 'yes' as although my wife has been on PBS dependent status for quite a few years now but if you see they asking is it the first time you applying in one of the above categories ? I would say yes as that is their first time applying for the dependent of the settled person. Tick yes and go straight to section 3.
I hope it helps. All the best.

Hi Shah

Thanks for your Reply. Please can you confirm again do i need to send Biometric Card photocopy or Original Biometric Card of my ILR. Thanks
Hi Fahad,
I would say just send the photo copies of the biometric card as it doesn't says any where to attach the original. Senior members and gurus please your input is required here.
Regards to 2.2 you got the reply from SSWSZ that she ticked NO and obviously option first than, and she sucessfully got the visa, but as far as my experience is concerned if they are clearly asking
Is this the first time you have applied for a visa or extension of stay in one of the above categories
(including previous leave granted as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner) with your current sponsor?

It is self explanatory. It is clearly the first time for your wife to apply as dependent of a settled person. I know it gets very confusing but you better look into the words and meaning of it and make your decision.
All the best mate.

Hi All,

I am going to apply for my wife's FLR (M) before the deadline. She is sitting trinity exam tomorrow. I have all the required documents except the test certificate for english language. Could someone please advise if its ok to send the pass letter that you get after the exam from test centre to send with application and send the certificate at later date? By the way my ILR application is under consideration and hoping to get the response from HO by the end of this month.

Hi Everyone,

I have small query which I think won’t affect me but just wanted to double check. I will be applying for my ILR this September on 10 years basis, I came to uk on 5th Sept 2004 on student visa, I applied for PSW in May 2009 and currently I am on Tier1 General expiring Feb 2016. Query that I have is I applied for student visa ext in January 2010 via my uni and was successfully granted up till OCT 2009. In May 2009 I applied for PSW but in June 2009 was rejected due to low on threshold for maintenance but because I had a valid visa till OCT 2009 I was given no right of appeal and was asked to apply again if I wish to (this was stated in refusal letter that I have a valid visa till OCT2009 therefore I cant have right of appeal but I can reapply), I applied again in July and was granted PSW, will this rejection affect me for my 10 year ILR? (Please note all my extensions were done on time with no delay)

Many Thanks

no this rejectionwill not affect yoru ILR, mainly because all your applications were in time including your 2nd PSW, you never applied out of time(when you did not have visa). you can request SAR to check all your applications were done in time.. but sounds like they have been.

Attention Please

As you know we got appointment for SET(M) tomorrow morning in liverpool.

Any good tip for applying SET(M) without FLRM(M)?

I noticed in HC 1138 that (para 7.11)

"Corrections are being made to enforce the intention that only dependants of
individuals who qualified for settlement under the Points-Based System can
apply for settlement as dependants of Points-Based System Migrants.
Previously the Immigration Rules allowed dependents of those who qualified
for settlement on the basis of long residence to also apply. The change will
mean such dependants will need to apply for leave to remain under the rules
for family members in Appendix FM before they can qualify for settlement."

Dont you think friends the sentence "Previously the Immigration Rules allowed dependents of those who qualified
for settlement on the basis of long residence to also apply" meant that it is allowed before 06 April 2014?

A special request to SSWSZ, VINNY, AMBER and other gurus...

Thanks for Attention

Hi Malik,
Last day is Saturday the 05th. So if you post it out on the 05th that will be considered as valid, as date of postage is the date of application. I hope it helps.

Hi Maaan143,
First thing first, your Dependents SET(M) application is for tomorrow, and any rule change on the dependents of the 10 years long resident is coming to effect on the 06th of April 2014. So your understanding is right that yes in your case any time that your dependents spend as PBS dependents on route to settlement will be calculated, and that is 2 years. If your dependents have completed 2 years as dependents of PBS dependents on route to settlement than you are alright. The only question is would the Home Office entertain your SET(M)Application ? As ideally you should be applying FLR(M) and than SET(M), but lots of people on the forum have applied SET(M) straight and have got it, so all the best buddy.
My advice will be to fill FLR(M) forms as well and take them along just in case, God forbid if they don't entertain your SET(M) application than you can always revert back to FLR(M), and you still will come under the old rules, hence if your dependents have completed 2 years they can apply indefinite any time on SET(M). I hope it helps. Gurus and senior members please feel free to add up your feedback.
All the best for tomorrow and keep us posted.
Kind regards
Shah

Dear All
I have received my ILR 10 years today.

1. Can someone advice me for my daughter's application that was born in Pakistan but now is here with me.
I have to apply for her naturalization, What form, fees and documents I will need.

2. My wife is on a Tier 2 dependent visa up to 28 Jan 2015.
Does it need to be changed?
if so what is the Form and any other requirements?

Any replies will be much appreciated.

Hiall,
You need to apply FLR(M) for both your daughter and wife. You daughter was born in Pakistan so she can't apply naturalisation straight away. Both of them have to convert their status to dependent of a settled person first through FlR(M). And mind it that there is a rule change coming on the 06th of April 2014 after which they have to spend 5 years as dependent of a settled person to qualify for ILR. Only if you can apply for them before 06th April will save you from the Idiot spammer. All the best mate.

Congrats to those who have received their ILR recently.

Does anyone know the number of SET(M) and SET(O) application submitted in Nov'13 and Dec'13?
I assume the numbers will be much less than for Oct'13.

answer lies here for LR applications.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... sponse.pdf

in Summary :
Oct - 1350 applications
Nov - 520 applications
Dec - 565 applicaitons.

I would guess their completed stats are out of date mainly because on the date of HO posting this out, where they suggested 10 Dec applications completed our skydrive alone had 11 December applications completed. however total number of appliations are ought to be right.
