Ilr English language

Post by nihalnigania » Wed Apr 02, 2014 10:54 pm

Hi

I am applying for ILR on Saturday and I am very nervous about the English language requirement since I have very less days can you please very urgently help

I am on tier 1 general I have received 10 points for English language while extending the tier 1 and I have a letter from ukba for that.

I decided to check for points in points calculated to take a proof and I was really shocked to find that I can see 30 points for the degree but when I did next I see 0 points for English language

Please let me know what I should do?

Since I have been awarded 10 points earlier should I be ok or should I cancel my appointment .please let me know.

Thanks v much in advNce

KnowledgeOfLifePolicyQueries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

for eng req, degree must award you 30 in pbs even it is giving 0 for english but must be presented with uni letter+original degree

:-((((

While extending my tier 1 I showed the points based calculator which was confirming 30 points and original degree certificate. I don't remember whether the points based calculator had points for English language however the letter that I have from ukba clearly states...

" we have awarded 10 points for English language"

It is risky if you apply without that unless you get confirmation from ukba regarding this condition as you applied this way earlier.
Better be safe n apply after some simple eng exam.

I think you cant get such quick Language certificate from any exam and scan copy wont work unless you are lucky. You need to wait minimum 2-3 weeks for eng exam cert. If you really want to ensure and attend coming appt better email + Call UKBA and ask about your situation.
