DX courier worst service

Post by hemant_lakhani » Fri Apr 04, 2014 8:57 pm

It is very surprising that Home Office is using DX to deliver passports and bio-metric cards to the residents.
When there are many better service companies available, why using DX !!!

Home Office took one day to print and post bio-metric cards for us, but DX has not been able to deliver it in couple of days.

First of all, we were at home when no door bell was ring and 2 cards were left in letter box by DX suggesting to request re-delivery. This is unprofessional act.
Secondly when we requested delivery online, waited for it and it was not delivered in whole day, no update - is this good customer service / professional ?

I called DX customer service number, it was automated and no option of speaking to someone, 0845 number is expensive to call, wasted lot of money, waited for long time on the line hearing - sorry to keep you waiting you can request re delivery online.

Lot of people are posting bad experiences about DX service on the internet. I am sure Home office will wake up soon...

Are there no penalties to DX courier from home office on bad service?

There are options that Home Office can use:
- Another courier service, Applicant can provide a pre-paid envelops also if home office wants (when applicants pay thousands pounds on visa/passport fees, we can pay few more for a better courier service.
Hide message history
- Instead of using such unprofessional service, better to have a collect in person option from PEO.

Anybody one this forum has any contacts in home office, please initiate some strict actions against DX, either DX should provide good service or Home office should change the service provider.

I understand your frustration, but this might help. You can find freephone/landline numbers for most companies. Just search for DX secure, you will find tons of alternative free numbers.

Yes indeed that DX courier is an uncomfortable service. Why they not simply send BRP via royal mail signed for service which is more better and even can be picked from local mail sorting royal mail office.
have anyone tried to send them a registered signed for prepaid envelope to request to send BRP instead of DX? Can it work on request?

DX is the worst service every.... it wastes your time, money and energy. I miss the old way the Home office used to send the BRP so quick so easy so relaxing! Here is the time line of my story:

(a week ago): I find a card by the stairs saying DX passed by which was strange since my husband was at home.

Day of booked redelivery:
It is now 5 pm. I have stayed all day home waiting for our BRPs (UK visa for me and my family) to be delivered. Nothing has came in and what is worse is that no one phoned to inform me that the delivery would be late. Moreover, i had to spend money to call you and stay for so long on hold until an agent answered. It is very very frustrating! I had to take a day off, stay home all day, and now when I finally managed to get hold of the call center they inform me there is a delay. I could have gone to do my work today! Now I have an important appointment with a friend and I can't go too because I need to stay home and wait. I am sorry to say this, but the Home office used to do a better job in the past, I have even received all my documents from them already last week through special delivery with the royal mail. On the Website DX sounds professional with all its terms and conditions, and its requests for payment for a premium service if we needed it in a specific time slot. I am glad I did not pay (though I wasted money on that phone call to the customer service). I hope you are professional when it comes to customers who are delayed.

Update at 7 pm: it is now 7:10. I have missed going out with my friend because the lady in the call center said you will arrive before 7 pm. So I have been stuck in the house all day.

If you can please kindly reply back as soon as you can with an exact time hour to deliver our BRP as I can no longer take another day away from work. Please note that the home office requires that we register with Police within 7 days, and we are being delayed because of this. (they sent no message, nor called)

(Next day I track my order to see what is happening and this my message): I have three BRP for me and my husband and son. I have waited yesterday all day from 9- to 10pm at home and YOU DID NOT SHOW UP!!! I missed work, missed an important appointment with my friend at 7pm. Spent money calling your customer services, sent you a message and then what do I get when I try to track my package; a note saying you left me a card and that I need to book for redeilvery for a second time. I CANT TAKE ANOTHER DAY AWAY FROM WORK from the library. I can not spend more money calling you! You need to learn professionalism! You are the one who needs to call me! email me! and you need to specify an exact hour to deliver our permits since you missed them twice. It is Your Job to get this done not me!!! Utterly annoying and I will file a complaint to the Home office!

I wish it was the Royal mail that was handling it. In such cases they would give me a message to pick it up from my local branch (total of 60 mins!)
