ILR Eligibility

Post by nagaraju.ch » Sat Apr 05, 2014 5:04 pm

Hi

Recently i heard news(unofficially) that UKBA is going to stop Tier1 extensions after April 2015. So i am bit worried if i am eligible to ILR.

I have my Tier1(2 Years) Visa Valid from 1st Dec 2010 but i entered to UK 6th Jan 2011. I got extension in Dec 2012 (3 Years) so my visa valid until 1st Dec 2015. I was away for only 2 months so far after i enter to UK. My Question is Am i eligible for ILR by Nov 2015. Or Do i need another extension before it closes.

experts please advise on this

Thanks
Nagaraju

You would need an extension irrespective of extension closing or not and in all likelihood, they are closing on 6th April 2015 so plan for your extension before that.

You don't need extension.. You will complete 5 years on 1 dec 2015 and you should consider 1 dec 2010 as start date for 5 yrs calculation as you entered within 90 days.. And if you can apply 28 days before you complete 5 yrs

Thanks Yash,

Yeah, its too early to start. But i just want to know if i need to go for another extension as i entered uk around 40 days later my initial visa validity. Now i am cleared.

So the eligibility is as long as you are in UK within 90 days candidate is eligible for PR. and ILR 5 years starts from the Initial Validity Start Date.

Thanks once again everyone.

Thanks
Nagaraju
