IMPORTANT NOTES
1) Tier 1 (General) is closed to overseas applicants. Applications from people who are not already in the UK with leave in a category that permits switching into Tier 1 (General) will no longer be accepted. Dependants can still apply to join applicants who have obtained prior entry clearance for Tier 1 General.
2) With effect from 6 April 2015, Tier 1 (General) will close and applications to extend leave will no longer be accepted. Applicants who are currently in the UK and who wish to apply to extend their stay must submit an application on or before 5 April 2015.
3) With effect from 6 April 2018, applications for indefinite leave to remain will no longer be accepted in the Tier 1 (General) category. Applicants who are currently in the UK and who wish to apply for indefinite leave to remain must submit an application on or before 5 April 2018.

Many thanks. Can you further advise me about my next possible extension will be 3 or 2 years

3+2+3 or 3+2+2 based on the facts

Please advise me if I will get a 2 or a 3 years extension based on the following facts

Tier 1 visa approved 01/12/2009
entered in UK 16/05/2010
left for overseas job 24/02/2011
returned UK 29/06/2012
previous extension obtained 27/01/2013
Next extension due on 27/01/2015.

I will be really greatful

Many thanks mate, I am just getting worried that if they will give me only two years in Jan 2015 then I may not be able to complete 5 years residence requirement. I wish I could get 3. any advise what shall I do for that.

Could you please help on the Tier 1 extension query.


Initial Tier 1 General Visa granted [ 20-JAN-2011 --> 20-JAN-2013]

Visited UK after 10 Months, i.e. OCT 2011.

Tier 1 Visa extended again from 20-JAN-2013 --> 20-Jan-2016

for 5 yrs settlement I need to stay from Oct 2011- Oct 2016 [5 Yrs]

I need one more extension in from 2016-2017 for settlement. Tier 1 extension are getting closed by April 2015.

Do i need to get Visa extended by March 2015? to get one more extension or I can get extended in Dec 2015?

Tier 1 General visa extension are getting closed from 6th April 2015. If you want to extend your visa, you better get it extended before April 2015.

You both should get 3 yrs extension. advised go for extension just before closing time to get validity till start of yr 2018.

Absolutely, and no doubt about what you said.

That's why I am trying to bring everyone on of us into single forum i.e. FB group in my signature.
We do have Legal action plan, about which details can be found or asked in FB group forum.
If we don't respond in unified voice, i won't be surprised to expect further retrospective changes sure to suffocate us given that we are already placed under unjustified rules, charged exorbitant fee and similar laws.
