Hi alwell46, from my understanding of FLR (LR) it is for those who have not completed their English or Life in the Uk test to enable them extend their visa/stay while completing their tests.

There is no change to FLR (M)
Maintenance requirement is still not required for dependants in UK before 9th July 2012.
Similarly you can switch immediately to Settlement (ILR) after the grant of FLR (M).

I agree but be mindful HO is still publishing changes as they published some on 6th and some today on 7th so u never know they may publish change in Part 8 tomorrow. I hope there is no change. I heard they have deferred Part 8 changes which will affect flr (m) but there is no confirmation yet.

Hi Friends, Moderators and Gurus.

Me an my wife had applied for SAR file on the same day ( I have applied for both).

My wife got the confirmation letter saying that UKBA received her form and payment cheque. But I haven't received that for mine.

Do I have to really worry on this.

Thanks

hi,
I need advice regarding ILR based on 10 years. 5 years student, 2 years PSW and 3 years Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa. What documents should i submit along with my 10 years application? do i need to submit my business documents? As on my current leave i am only allowed to work for my business and i took salary from my business using my national insurance, now i am confused if case worker did search on my national insurance then how will he know that its my own business. thanks

You are not applying for ur current leave extension. You are applying for 10 year long residence visa and case worker will search that you were in UK for 10 years and u were now out of the country more then 6 months..

Hi

Like i said before it is very hard to implement the new rules to applucants with old status. They did this with the HSMP applicants in 2007 (regarding 4 years residency) and they went o court, at the end winning it.!

Atleast for NOW v know that section 7 of form FLR M is unchanged. So old applicants will not have yo shiw the income threshold.!

By thevlooks of this, i presume that the other bit (2 years) will not change for pre July 2012 applicants.!

Lets wait and hope for the best.!

apologies for being pedantic! by "No I went straight into 7B" you mean you did not answer the question 7.1 and went straight to section 7B - leaving 7.1 blank?

Is there anyone else who recently got FLR(M) who can help us with this question?

Malik

i applied for my wifes FLRM on 3/4 and left 7.1 blank as it says you need to tick if you are receiving benefits under the new rules and thus i went straight to 7b

There is nothing wrong if you left blank 7.1 because before that there is a statement like this

If you were granted leave to enter or remain as a partner following an application made before the 9th July 2012 you are not
required to complete section 7A, Proceed to 7B MAINTENANCE.

its meant even you dont need to read 7.1.

7.1 belongs to those person who are in uk after 9th july 2012 but there sponsors are exempted because of disability or any other reason then they need to provide the evidence for the reason.

Please dont scared.

Thanks

Does 7.1 relate to disability benefits?
