ILR Continuous Period Confusion

Post by ishchopra » Wed Apr 09, 2014 10:11 am

Dear Experts,

I am bit confused about the continuous period.

Tier 1 VISA granted : 1st April 2009
First Entry : 24th May 2009

Applying ILR : 17th April 2014

Now my confusion is from where to where i should calculate my Continuous period?

It should be 1st April 2009 --- 31st March 2014 or 18th April 2009 -- 17th April 2014

please help

17/04/2014 is fine as your ILR application is valid after Monday, 3 March 2014

01/04/2009* + 4 years 11months 2days**

* 90 day concession (page22): The entry clearance stamp date is counted as the date of the start of the 5 year lawful residence not the Entry date in the UK itself, under the condition that the Tier 1 G migrant enter within 90 days of the EC.

** 28 days - Please do not send us your application more than 28 days before you become eligible to apply. If you do, we may refuse your application with no refund of the application fee (if a fee is charged for your application type). However, you must make your application before your current permission to stay in the UK expires.

Entry Clearance Stamp: 01/05/09 (out of country)
Entered UK: 01/06/09
Tier 1 (G) valid till: 30/05/14
ILR Croydon PEO: 04/04/14

I think Mind_The_Gap means you were allowed to apply for ILR last month.
