Absent for 30 days when unemployed

Post by imm27 » Tue Apr 08, 2014 10:28 am

Hi,

I am on Tier 1 (General) visa and would be applying for ILR very soon. When I initially came to the UK, I was unemployed for a period of 9 months and during that time I went back to India for 30 days and that is the only period I have been absent from the UK in the last 5 years.

I wanted to know whether this absence period will break continuity as mentioned in this link:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... _ilr_rules

(Absences from the UK whilst unemployed will break continuity.)

Thanks,
Vishal
