My wife was in similar situation as yours. We applied for her permanent resident EEA3 using her passport (she also have ID in her married name) which has her maiden name. We filled out the application using her married name, we included our marriage certificate. But HO issued her permanent resident card in her maiden, i guess its because we applied with her passport.mr&mrs smith wrote:hi friends,
I would like some suggestion.
1) is it better to send my eea wife id or passport??
2) on her passport its she has given surname and her id it her married surname?? is it better to right a cover letter to support.

Application sent : 14/02/14

Received: 25/03/14
You should definitely contact them, that period is not really acceptable considering EEA applications should be resolved "as soon as possible." I would say even anything over two months is really too long.Archenique wrote:Hi, we've sent our EEA3 application on 14/02/2014
I got a letter from Home Office dated 28/02/2014 saying that they have received our application and it is waiting for consideration. Now time for the worst part.
Today is 25th of July 2014 and so far no more information from HO. We've changed our address in the meantime but informed HO about it by filling up On-line form. We are worry about what is going on. HO saying is 6 months to complete this process by them but we haven't got our Passports or any other documents back yet or any other information so far. Anybody can give us advice what we can do in this situation please. We are both EU citizens with permanent job over 8 years .
Thank you for any help /
Alternatively, on the letter from the Liverpool office this number is given: 0300 123 2241, although this number does not seem to be specifically for European nationals, but rather for all permanent migrants, so you should try the first number initially.Call the European enquiries line if you, your partner or your family member is a national of an EEA country or Switzerland.
