Home office withdrew day before.... Help?

Hi anyone in same situation? My husbands settlement visa was refused in August, we appealed in September and tribunal was supposed to be today (April 3). Home office called me yesterday to say they are withdrawing their argument against my husband and they will likely issue visa back in Tirana, Albania. Don't know what to think.... Can we be excited?

Be merry!but don't withdraw your appeal if they ask you to do so,tell them you want what they have told you in a written form.

Yes...home office said they will send letter to confirm. I'm so worried incase the embassy will still refuse now and we need to go through the whole process again. I'm 4 months pregnant and hoping hubby can be here. Thankyou for the reply x

You think? I can't find a lot of info online about my situation. Still waiting on letter from them to see it in writing. Any idea how long it will take for embassy to act on the communication from home office here? Thanks

That one I can't really say,but you should put your mind at rest now,they will surely get in touch,it will be nice if you don't bombard them with mails or calls.
About if I think so? It's not think,it's what I know,it has happened to a very dear friend before,just be patient and get yourself prepared and the applicant should have his or her phone available at all times, because if they try to call him and they can't reach him that can cause a delay.

Hi... An update for anyone who is in same position. The embassy called my husband yesterday to collect visa however we are in another country and were unable. Now we will have to wait as they now post to Warsaw.... New system apparently... How long you think before we hear again?!

Don't be surprised if they don't call soon again,I guess they've done their part,it's not often they call so soon tbh.You might need to mail them or just go the the consular office,this will depend on the response your hubby gave though.

Hi thankyou for reply.. I spoke with them because they tried to call him and missed him so they called me. Told them we werent back in Albania until 16th she said just to come in then. But I think they have to post away now whereas as before they were going to give visa there and then xx

Home office withdrew their case because they did not find enough grounds to go for trial in the court. If they have mentioned that they'll issue visa, then job done. But if they say that they will review the case again, then they can take some time in this situation...
