extended family member EEA4

Post by depress » Fri Feb 07, 2014 3:51 pm

Please I need an advice.

I applied for eea4 in jan 2014, the collected the £55 payment two days later and received a confirmation letter that they have received my application.

7 days later, I received COA stating at this time we are unable to confirm your right to work.

I was confused because my resident card will expire in 2015 with right to work.

I am working at the moment and rang homeoffice same day, the person I spoke with said he can not really tell me the reason they send an coa stating they are unable to confirm my right to work, that most times the reasons is either their is missing documents that they required. told him I send in everything, my eea family member id, permanent resident card which was issued in December, payslips, house documents, mine that I and my family member have been living together in the same address for more than 5 years etc.

The man told me to write a letter to Liverpool to ask the reason.

I am worried to write them because they stated in the letter that I shouldn't call them and really don't want to get them angry.

Getting depressed before I was issued with my first resident card we had to go to court and higher courts.

Please, please advice should I write the homeoffice the letter?

Provided you meet the requirement of Regulation 8, you have right to continue working.

You have lived in the EEA national's household for 5 years, so i presume you should be able to secure PR, and your right to work is still in place.

Thank you so much obie.

I have been so worried.

Yes I have lived with my family member in the same household for over 5 years.

My family member got her PR within 6 weeks, applied in November 2013, received in December 2013.

God bless

Hi,

My sister is married with EEA national, she has PR already.

I am on residence card, and in 2 years I should apply for PR too as an extended family member.

However, my sister is going to divorce her husband this year. Would this affect my case?
Can I still apply for PR?

Thank you.
