Calculation of Salary for the eligibility points

Post by tcp » Mon Jul 23, 2007 2:40 pm

Hi,

In my current nature of work, I am required to travel a lot and my salary would be in the local currency of the country in which my projects are. I am not sure if my salary is eligible for the HSMP eligibility points.

Can anyone calculate whether my salary will be eligible for HSMP points?

Month Curr Amount
Jun-07 GBP 2765.78
May-07 GBP 2673.2
Apr-07 GBP 2690.32
Mar-07 GBP 2760.57
Feb-07 GBP 2668.7
Jan-07 GBP 2064.58
Dec-06 SGD 2421.24
Nov-06 INR 45,800.00
Oct-06 INR 39,357.00
Sep-06 INR 41,163.00
Aug-06 INR 35,063.00
Jul-06 INR 65,401.00
Jun-06 INR 23,919.00

Thank you,

Regards,

But gordon,

Is there any verification needed for IT returns for the particular country.
We are giving the pay slips and evidence as bank statement as proof.

Not sure why gordon asks for taxation in the country where the salaries were paid?
If the opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.

The tax-reporting country would give some indication of which country and income bands this person should use in preparing the application; if this person gets tax returns in all three countries, then that might be an argument for proration based on the location where employment was of longest duration in the earnings period claimed. The currency denomination of the salary payments is not enough information. AG

Hi,

I have the Indian Tax return for the Asst. Year 07-08. Similarly, For my stay in UK since Jan-07, I have tax returns for Asst Year 07-08. One month i was working in Singapore, for which i do not have such returns.
Plus, for the months on & after Apr-07 till date, the Tax filing is not due yet.

Given this, please advice.

Regards,
TCP
